Post Your Home Cine & HiFi Kit...

I'm curious about the 2 smaller speakers under the screen & why they are there, they dont look like Q acoustic speakers to me.
There just there to hold up the screen, not been in the house long and the best I could find at short notice, although I quite like the set up now...Good spot though, as the speakers are all Q Acoustic bar the sub...5.1.2

Cheers,

The speaker spacing is triggering me, 1st world problems.
Yeah, not ideal but the best I can do if I want to access the dinning room! I've moved from a bigger place where it was much more suited to the set up, but got used to the size and sound so don't want to down grade...

How much, was it worth it?

£270.
Just updated streamer from Squeezebox touch (and will still use it, just moving to the other room) - still a great steamer, and some ways the Touch is better - can navigate music from the touchscreen, bigger screen, IR remote instead of BT.

Wiim has room correction, which is handy. Updated apps/services etc.

I'm using Raspberry Pi for LMS, which is really good and reason why I bought a Wiim - the Wiim is seen as a squeezbox within LMS, so I have a central music system in LMS, and if I do need to use the Wiim app (ok but a bit clunky compared to LMS) I have that option also.

Have just added a Room Nucleus One to host my music collection and act as a Roon server. So far, so good.

To save listing everything, I’ve updated my system list back on Pg2 of this thread

These are the last change to my system for some considerable time i think. Retired my Spendor A9's and now replaced with a pair of Focal Sopra N2's.

Got a record player after I bought a Dire Straits record at a national trust the other week.

Had a denon amp laying about and some Kef Egg’s. The amp didn’t which work, and now does, hence the front plate being off but the amp and speakers will get replaced in the coming weeks after I’ve done some research.

And the cabinet thingy I had in another room we were about to throw out. I have a smaller cabinet on the way.

I’m amazed even on sub optimal hardware how good it sounds!

New LG G4 65" and Samsung Q990D soundbar system all set up:

After getting the TV at the end of Nov I was intending to get the soundbar next year, but the deal was far too good to miss and it meant I could give my parents my old one (a Samsung HW-MS650) to replace their cheapy one while I was visiting them for Xmas.

Get some velvet place ontop of soundbar to reduce reflections from TV. Works well for my center

I've changed my speakers from standard Fyne Audio F502's to F502SP's in piano walnut now, the SP version's do sound better. Will get photos at some point.

That's quite an uplift in cost to 502's that you havn't had for that long really. What prompted you to make that decision @JasonM ?

My current setup. Not quite how I would like it, but no alternative location for that chair. Thankfully Audyssey takes care of it.

Centre could be a little higher, I'm on the lookout for a new unit, but might build one.

Surround left is a little close to the wall, but again no choice and there's no boom, so happy with it.

Just a straightforward 5.1 (the sub is under the white Xbox on the right). I like the sound, although I keep looking at Options lol
