Sounds expensive...
Maybe when I move into my own place and out of my bedroom I'll spend more money on my AV hardware. It although the way London is, I won't be able to afford anything when I move out :(

Good choice there. I find the Harmony One to be the best of the Harmony range currently, despite not having the red, green, yellow and blue buttons on the keypad, that made it it hard to take the plunge at first. The ergonomics are very good for both people with big hands (me) and little hands (darling). It is a very intelligent remote and as long as you can get your head around the 'different' software and activities-oriented way of doing things it is easy to get it to do exactly what you want. If I wanted to spend lots of money there are a number of better options out there but for under £100 to control everything perfectly in the bedroom it is a very good option.

Personally I don't see the need for the channel shortcut keys on the screen as I know the numbers on Sky and only have about 10/15 fav channels on the blue button. I either key the number in or just use Blue on the touchscreen. The good thing is that you can have those shortcuts if you want, pages and pages of custom buttons per device/activity, discrete codes are fully supported and the support from Logitech has been pretty good overall.

aye it is. Probably better to build a tablet PC into the coffee table, will work out cheaper and also useful for HTPC control, and slimcenter.

Had touch screens in the past, they have pros and cons but generally I prefer the hard button remotes, as you can use them without looking at the remote, and are more robust. But then they lack total icon customisation of a large touchscreen.

Notice the word "compromise" it means you lose some sound quality but they're easier to fit in with the room, as they are smaller.
I have sats and they are perfectly acceptable, not as good as my main Speakers but easier to mount in my room.

Panasonic TH42PZ80 42" 1080p Plasma
Onkyo TX-SR606 Receiver
Panasonic DMREZ27 DVD Recorder
AMD Sempron 2100 Dual Core / 2GB / HD 3450 based HTPC
Sky HD
Q Acoustics 1010i 5.1 Speaker Set

Have a bit of cable management to sort out round the back, DVD Recorder seems to be faulty (chucking up a U99 error and freezing) and sound over HDMI doesn't seem to want to work. Other than that, everything seems to be working just fine.
