CD's rarey as use blu-ray for that.
still have the compton's interactive encyclopedia disc which is good, looks really dated now thou.

only have one as inherrited from grandad couple of years ago, mine doesn't have the cartridge for films in the back, but works fine for music
 
Here's my set up, used mostly for music but with the odd film and a bit of gaming. There's still a lot of stuff I need to buy, bigger front speakers, a stand for the tv, a decent blu ray player, a projector screen and to ceiling mount the PJ.

Hifi kit:

Front speakers - Monitor Audio GS10
Rear speakers - Monitor Audio RS6
Power Amps - Audio Research VS55, Arcam P1000
Pre-amp - Musical Fidelity A5cr
AV Amp/Processor - Marantz SR6003
DAC - Musical Fidelity KW DAC
Transport - Arcam MS250

As well as custom design milan 5 hifi rack, custom design rs300 speaker stands, QED qunex 3 RCA cables and QED silver anniversary xt speaker cable.

Visual kit comprises a 40 inch samsung M87 tv, Optoma HD800X projector, PS3, 360, Wii, sky + and a PC (quadcore q6600 @3ghz, nvidia 8800gt etc.)

Blu-rays!

It's still work in progress, but it sounds pretty good for music, needs a bit of work for films though.
 
Impressive Ferret, good choice of speakers :D

My new Blu-Ray player arrived today, only just set it up, tested the YouTube integration - quite impressive :D

Only got a boring box shot for now... my camera is on the blink!

Walked past a display in a shop and had to take a few steps back to see where the sound was coming from.

These are very nice, thinking of getting some myself. Love how they are so small, yet a nice sound.

what size screen is that macca, and where did you the reservoir dogs poster from ? in the process of doing my front room up and after something similar :p

Because the gs10's are much better speakers! I first bought the gs10's to act as rears but after hearing how much better they are, I had to use them as my main speakers. It's only temporary, when I can muster funds for gs60's, the gs10's will go to the rear and rs6's to the bedroom.
 


Hi res image of my (nearly finished) install. Ill stick a pic up with the projector running tomorrow, i cant be bothered pulling out the extension to do it again today :)

TV is a one of the new PX50 50" jobbies, projecting above the tv, just a cheap set of Z5500's just now, ill update speakers nearer xmas.

40" samsung LE40A656.

and the canvas came from the bay, its 60" x 30". search by seller and look for kanvascity. was £80 delivered
