Post Your Home Cine & HiFi Kit...

cheers I had a look around the net but couldnt find a price for them, found the ones a few series down for £1800 so knew they wouldnt be cheap lol, bit outta my range but very nice.

How do they sound?

So far - nice :D

Just need to get my act together and put the sides and rears up. Until then i'm only really using my Xbox with em (not watching any films yet).

Going to calibrate my sub first, then once i've done that AND have the sides/rears up, i'll calibrate it all with Audyssey

Some slap-dash pics of my rather quaint set-up (in comparison to some of the lush kit on here):

Sky+
Monitor Audio at the front (not sure on model)
B&W 602 S1 at the back
Nintendo Wii

Can I ask what paint you used to paint the front of your Alumni centre speaker, also did you just mask it or did you take the front panel off?

I used Halfords Matt black spray paint. I masked off all the speaker elements cones etc and then lightly sprayed it using several layers waiting a few hours in between each layer.

You can buy the alumni centre in black if I remember correctly.

No you cant, well not the front element of it. Its only the rear elements that they change. See pics below:

That is screaming out for a decent panel.

I know, but the telly was bought by my wife around 9 years ago for a four figure sum - she's not letting go 'til it lets go! It'll be years, knowing how good Sony CRTs are.

When it does finally give up the ghost I'll splash a couple of grand on a new panel, receiver, SkyHD and BD player...

"Oops, sorry dear, accidentally spilled tea down the back of the telly! Hey ho, time to go buy a new one I guess...... shucks!" :D

LG 32" 5700
CA 340A
Mezzo 2
Anniversary XT

Not bad for what it cost me :)

Do you use this for your every day computer?

I'm going to be buying an LCD soon and im just wondering how you find it? Perhaps too big? What's it like with gaming if you do?

Not sure if i should get a

LG 37LH3000
Sony KDL32V5500
Panasonic TX-L32S10B

Obviously i'd love a massive TV but as ill be using it as a monitor as well it wouldnt be practical and i dont think it'd be good quality compared to the Sony and Panasonic...:o

Hey, I do indeed. I think it's excellent however a 37" may be too large. The Panasonic would be my pick from those three.

Hi, moved into our new flat a couple of weeks ago and I have finally sorted out the TV and HiFi. Links to larger sizes under each photo.
