Post Your Home Cine & HiFi Kit...

!

How much was the LG plasma robbie? Bet that's a awesome upgrade for you :)

Yep, fantastic upgrade, makes watching TV an altogether different and improved experience!

The screen (model LG 42PQ6000) cost £549 from JL with a 5 year warranty, which was more expensive than some places but I had £50 of JL vouchers knocking around from Christmas and nowhere else seemed to be able to guarantee a particular delivery day at the time of order, something we needed.

It took some convincing for the wife to agree to even a 42" screen and now she thinks it looks just fine. Could have probably gotten away with a 46 or 50 if my powers of persuasion were better, but it might have resulted in a ruck or two!

AV1 fell over the other day (green picture) so LG are coming to replace the motherboard on Friday.

As were talking HIFI, I wont go into details about the PC...too much effort lol.

Specs:
*Viewsonic VX2433wm 24" 1080p Full HD
*LG LH2000 32" LCD TV
*Onkyo HTX-22HD with Monitor Audio BR1 Fronts, Onkyo HTX22-HDST Rears (with plans to get center once I have the cash). TV and PC (Auzentech Xfi Forte) connected via Optical Cable.
*Goldring DR 150's (not shown in the pics)
*Xbox 360 60Gb

Still need to do some more work tbh...need some stands for the Bookshelfs and could do with a decent desk...im surprised this desk is still standing. Originally I was just going to have the Monitor Audio + Cambridge A1 mk 3 SE Amp connected to the PC for Hifi and then have the Onkyo system for my TV and Xbox.

Edit: Damn those pictures are god awful -_-"

How do you find using the Harmony 1000 remote? Im thinking of getting one but been reading reports of the remote freezing a lot? and some remotes have been locked once programmed?

Also anyone with a Antec Fusion remote HTPC case, do you find the LCD front display too bright? I've been reading and found loads of people saying its far to bright.

The 1000 is brilliant! It does freeze up, around once or twice a week.
Dont know about the locking, thats news to me.

The LCD Front display isn't that bright, you can manually adjust the brightness of the display. Its the Bright blue power button which is bright and that you cant adjust :(

Some permy markers or paint should do the trick though!

Go for the 1100 over the 1000, it works a hell of a lot better in terms of speed and reliability.

I've had both btw.

our bedroom setup, excuse the pics poor camera it does look much better irl

92" grand view
benQ w500
Yamaha dsp-ax763
Mordaunt Short Alumni
EPOS ELS SUB

Added this shelf in the wardrobe as needed the extra throw distance to fill the 92" as the room is barely a 5x4

Normally just drop the monitor behind the unit when needed

Had this a while now & love it, not sure whats next, maybe a bigger monitor/tv for general viewing and a 1080p pj or ditch the living room for a dedicated cinema room.

CD player and power supply have been sold so at the moment I'm using my PC to play music stored on the NAS through my hifi. Not an ideal setup but its only temporary. I have also replaced my logitec remote with an ipod touch, while it doesn't control the preamp it does let me browse through my music which is nice.
