Dell Inspiron 630m

14" 1280x800 display
Intel Pentium-M 740 1.73GHz
2x512MB DDR2 533MHz RAM (came with 2x256MB)
60GB Seagate HDD
Intel wireless
DVD-RW
Windows XP Home Edition

Had it since May/June 2006. Nice little machine, really nice to have when I want to go into Uni and do work; saves having to use the awful library PCs. Not had a single problem with it either, it's been very solid. Should easily see me through to the end of my degree next June.

If I didn't have this thing, I'd probably have the 14" HP like syke has, as I've always liked those. Also quite a fan of the 13" notebooks that Sony and Dell do, but they're a bit pricey. The new Inspiron 1420 is nice too though.

Also interesting to see more than a few 14" (and smaller) notebooks here. Glad I'm not the only one that prefers something a little bit smaller. :)

Dell Inspiron 9400
CoreDuo T2350
2gb PNY PC5300
256mb Nvidia 7800go
80gb 7200rpm Hitachi HD (sata)
17" WS Display 1440x900
Shafted Sony DVD/RW (Must buy new one)
Windows XP Pro

Microsoft Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 3000 used most of the time.
Was staying at GF's house for a good few months so needed something portable that could be stored away easy when not in use.

Was pleasantly surprised with the 7800go's performance so did away with the desktop and now am just using this. Am looking to get a T7200 for it soon and then maybe go back to Vista, will see how the 7800 fares over next few months.

Just a note of caution, but the power connector on that Latitiude, dont stress the connector too much. They have a habit of breaking.
Ive seen 4 break at work in the last week.
:).

Thanks for the advice. It never gets pushed against anyway - the VGA plug that's in the back whenever I'm at my desk is larger, so takes all the stress of being pushed back against anyway ;)

safer to pick up a dell dock @ auction for around £20, I've had to replace at least 3 motherboards on inspiron 8600 and precision m60's at work :(
