It's just called "Task Manager", the widget is nice and handy.
Have gone up to 5 myself, I could use less if I used folders but it's 6 and two 3's, I used to folder everything up but now I'm splurging it on homescreens.
The GPS worked fine for me but I had a problem with the bluetooth, have moved to Extended controls now which offers some better functionality for me and the bluetooth works correctly now.

It's Battery Indicator Pro, great app for me as the normal battery meter is useless on this phone for some reason.
The clock is Beautiful Widgets, I refunded it because something just didn't sit right with me, if I could just have the clock and not the weather I'd get it again.
I didn't used to, but I find it a lot easier now to put different categories of icons on different home screens instead of having to search through all of my apps in the app drawer that are always moving when I install new apps.
Hence why my screens are so cluttered, I've even filled up a screen with contacts now. Also I'm very picky about my widgets.

I use better cut, old as the moon but still works the way it should.

Looks like it could be 'beautiful widgets', can someone confirm either way before i buy?.
Smart shortcuts is great, and you can customize the shortcut icons even more with better cut[noparse][/noparse]
Edit: Just realized I need to call the folder "root apps" oops.
Shame, I've been using it since I first got my G1, it has been updated recently and regularly though, so could have been fixed.

I've been giving it a go, are you using it with launcher pro? I can't find any way to configure it.

Not sure myself what the situation is with Desire rooting, but I guess if you think you would use the rooted features it's worth it, I'm happy I rooted my phone but it was really easy with the Galaxy Portal, not much to go wrong and the portal is pretty well equipped to recover from boot problems, which I haven't encountered.
Check out my post here, and hopefully some replies soon, might give you some more motivation to root, or not, thought I would make the list there instead of cluttering up this thread
