Powerhouse SFF project

Oxy: fenrir is going with my x58 rig to my housemate. the itx will just be sat on my desk untill q08 comes to europe! Plus i dont think it has a hope in hell of fitting in, haha.

I'll be using the retail i7 cooler for now untill i get the q08 and can measure it, I just dont fancy buying about 6 different coolers on the offchance one might fit :P

Thanks randal :) It looks awesome next to my new mouse too :D (and with my wacom intuos 4 above it) looks very professional/smart, except for that its a student desk. When its tidy ill post some pics (well when fyp is in and im not stressing out!)

just thought, q08 looks the same width as my v600... so im wondering if the back is the same (psu placement) ill look more next week, would help me massivly though!

I'm using DiNovo Edge and MX Rev. Love them. All I will say is be very careful of your DiNovo under a halogen lamp.... I have the unfortunate even of melting my esc button + 2 others... Would have though they'd be better made for a £100 keyboard.
 
Why the berk would I stick it under a halogen lamp :P No lamps near me so thats ok :D

The mouse is a performance mx, step up from the rev, such a smooth comfy mouse :)
 
Mainboard looks cool. I built my Dad a HTPC based of the Zotac 9300 a couple of years ago now it was tiny.

I'm tempted to sell my P2 965 and mega mainboard now and run with the sempron 140 until this case is out.

There's also talk of a gigabyte board, I prefer gigabyte and am scared to try DFI.

I need to sell my macbook as well, think I'll put that up on MM tommorrow.
 
giga has crap cpu placement and onboard hdmi/etc, basically a zotac clone. Theres an elite group board coming out too which is the same.

Why you scared? :P

I really can only aford this build if I sell my AMD stuff and Macbook :/

May just shove this all on MM tommorrow and see if I can sell it. The case won't be too long will it?
 
oh one question I forgot to ask I have a 1000w psu, a cheap brand one from a competitor, it runs fine though. Will this be ok in a mini-itx build?

Money is tight atm, I doubt I would be able to sell it so I wanna re-use it. It is modular!

I just sold my macbook to my dad for £300 :p
 
You would have to check the length of the PSU and the length in the case before the HDD rack becomes a problem. I don't know what length this is though.
 
I'll be recycling my Coolermaster Realpower 620w, you could proobably pcik up a hx520 for £40-50 on the MM if you look, theres one on there now i believe :)
 
I was going to mention that earlier but thought it had already been posted somewhere :p i think its basically the product being announced by the manufacturer as being a sort of news.

ooo its odd not having illuminated keys! haha, thatll change once i learnt where the keys are properly :)
