Powerhouse SFF project

lucky you >.< haha :D good luck with the job :D keep us posted!

I really need it, theres bugger all jobs anyway, and I live in suffolk so it's doubley as bad :/

I need to pick you brains!!!

There is this clip:

My cooler looks identical to this one:

http://www.zalman.co.kr/ENG/product/Product_Read.asp?idx=312

Now as I have had this cooler on my skt 754 system for 6 years I have lost all the bolts and brackets etc. Now looking at the bracket picture it looks like it wont matter as the 1156 bracket package seems to have all the screws I would need to attach the cooler to i5 socket.

Basically I don't need any of the old AMD/Skt 775 brackets to make this work?

There is no backplate, it's not very big or heavy. It looks fine after watching there install video :D

yay free cooler woohooo!!!! I assume it will better than intel standard one?

q08 is on ocuk pre order (month away)

price is expected as its got "extras" such as the new drive plate and the feet. but :D

oh lol, the piccie on ocuk doesn't look good, it looks a bit chavy. Plus for some reason ocuk have put an extra £15 tax on it :/

Once you go black, you never go back!

Price is a tad steep despite it having USB3.0 and extras bundled, i was expecting it to be around £75 to £80 really, just over a month away so will be able to see who else gets stock and see how prices differ between them.

Will have to make up my mind wether to buy the DFI or Zotac board and see where they are cheapest :)

Price seems to be +50% in the UK compared to canada and USA :(

i paid 111 for my dfi. which im not too fussed with, paid a lot more than that for a rampage 2 extreme before hand, lol.

if i can sell my case then ill be in good standing to buy the q08 :) you always pay more to be an early adopter!

I will break even if i can sort my paypal out, got £120 in there from selling older components on the MM and if i sell my Motherboard (EVGA P55 F*T*W) i should be in profit after the downsize.

I'll be making more than i think actually although i may buy myself some more goodies :D

Keeping my TJ07 as arranging couriers/trying to get it to the post office without a car will be a pain if i decided to sell and i never know when i will want to have a full sized tower case again.

I might not even need to spend any of my money in my bank account :D if only OcUK accepted paypal as payment :( I have some interest in my HD4870 so will probably hit £130 and buy the DFI from a competitor.

I think i'm going to invest in a DAC or similar as i will be losing my soundcard due to lack of PCI slot.

I was considering that portable xfi doohicky thats about, but, ill end up using digital probably so not much use.

I would sell the case, as long as you have a box for it, courier is simple as :D

Also, i did buy a dinovo edge and performance mx mouse with the rest of the savings. :P

ITs kind of silly if you think about it, spending upwards of 1000 on a "top spec gaming rig" when this tiny little thing can pull its weight for much less.

Only thing I really want for it is an ssd (and 8gig of ram, maybe a 480...) but prices are insane :/
