** PRE ORDER YOUR NEXT GENERATION CONSOLE AT OVERCLOCKERS UK **

The introduction price of the ps3 was about £100 less and didn't come with a major peripheral like kineckt.

The pricing has not been announced yet but we are in line with competitors.

I honestly thought you guys might actually see this as good value.

Console for £600 - 8+ year life cycle.

High end VGA card - 6-12 month life cycle

Yet nobody on here blinks at dropping that sort of money on hardware.

Consoles are becoming a little more advanced. Did anyone actually expect the next gen consoles to be around £300?

Only £348.95 inc VAT.

ORDER NOW

I found this comical.

I might buy a PS4, but certainly not an Xbox.

& I think the PS4 looks better, like something off a spaceship.

I've only had a fleeting interest in the new consoles but a mate who has been a big Xbox fan thinks the new DRM related stuff to be bad enough to skip it so that tells me what I need to know.

Id love to order a Ps4 but im sorry I just plan can not justify handing over £350 for at least five months so I guess I have to go elsewhere, shame really but them the rules.

Perhaps as we get closer to launch the hype will build to such a level that I will feel left out and buy a PS4 or Xbox One.
Doubt it though.

I found this comical.

Whilst failing to realise that Sony clearly made a last minute decision to omit the camera from the console base hardware package in order to hit a significantly lower price point in a bid to grab media attention and early consumer preference.

I have no doubt that I will personally go for a PS4 and that if the camera was a part of the console hardware then I probably wouldn't opt to use it.

Its cool that Sony didn't force an extra onto people and yes the camera purchased separately will still not bring a PS4 over the Xbox price point. But it was clear they saw the Xbox announcement and made the call to hit a target price. It would always be the camera that would be sacrificed

But the fact remains that 90% of the early promotional shots of the console had a camera in the picture.

Come on rjkonelll, lighten up and just accept the joke at your expense, not the biggest thing to admit.

If you really want to play hard ball your statement never mentioned the accessories just that you were dismissing anyone thinking that next-gen consoles would be around £300...

For all intents and purposes one is :D

ps3ud0

Since the prices were announced has anyone seen any data to suggest the PS4 will not win this battle?

I still cannot get over a business taking all the money up front either way, its plain wrong and needs reviewing at a high level so that the policy is changed.

i have spoken to management about the pre order policy.

its nothing i can directly have an impact on, but it has been highlighted.

I know that being able to offer it would make my job a hell of a lot easier.

I've only recently got back into PC gaming and I can't believe how cheap the games can be. Although I would like a PS4 I think the cost of the games would be prohibitive.

But surely since every XBO has Kinect there will be a lot more broad support for it in games as devs know everybody will have it available, it can now become an integral part of the gaming experience rather than an added extra. (If they can find some really clever things to do with it).

I think the idea of forcing people to pay for the camera as well is just stupid. The vast majority of gamers have no interest in it and are far more interested in price and performance. I don't even see why anyone would want a media console. I'd never use my console to control my TV, I can do that just fine with my mouse :/

I literally can't see a single reason to buy the xbox one unless you literally can't live without halo. Mass effect isn't xbox exclusive anymore and neither is fable (though it has been destroyed anyway).

Sony said that they made a mistake releasing late and at a higher price point than the xbox last time around and they have learnt from it and microsoft have just failed on every front.

I have to agree that the reason I am not pre-ordering a PS4 is because I simply don't want to give you the money at the moment and there is no reason why I should. I could understand a deposit, but even with that you shouldn't lose the deposit if you cancel a couple weeks before.

I always thought it was illegal to take money before a product is ready to be shipped. I'm sure I've heard people drop the illegal card on pre-orders taking money early before.
