Wait, Torres isn't there and Gerrards in hospital, who's been teaching Carroll?
Maybe he is friends with Fabregas he can dive quite well too...

Spearing looking woeful alongside Adams. Neither doing anything to help the defence. Guess it's Lucas that brings the best out of him.
Begs the question, how well can Adams and Lucas play together given both like to see a lot of the ball.I was about to say, I'd be worried if Lucas picked up a serious injury. Spearing does a decent job alongside somebody like Lucas but the positional side of his game isn't good enough to be the most defensive midfielder in the side.

That was my main concern with buying him in the first place. Take away the goals and assists from set pieces and he's painfully average and not even close to the quality we need. His performance against Brazils second string proved as much.edit: I was listening to talksport earlier and Souness was asked a question about Adam and how much of the ball he'll see and Souness compared it to when he joined us from Boro. He basically said that it's natural that when you're playing with better players, you're not going to be as pivotal to the side and won't see as much of the ball.

Not a bad attempt by Adam there wasnt far away,So who would people rather take our corners next year basing on people being fit?
If we play a 4-2-3-1 Aquilani has to play as the attacking midfielder.**** it. I don't care if he wants to leave, I want Aquilani to stay. The guy is class.
