Shocking challenge that, ball is way out in front of Bale and Adam tackles from behind with no intention of getting it.

Can't say I'm particularly happy at this.

Looks like a terrible tackle to me with no possible means of getting the ball from where he was never mind his intention. His foot clearly comes in mid stride goes into the side of his ankle, that will bring any player down. The fact that its only twice that he's done it to Bale makes me reluctant to say he's deliberately targeting him, much less so than i'm inclined to believe maybe he's just not got the talent to break up the play when somebody of Bale's calibre is on the ball.

Pretty sure Adam didnt mean to injure Bale, it was a silly challenge but i dont see malice in it.

Its almost as if no Spurs players have ever given out a rash challenge, that challenge by Bale was nothing compared to Ekotto on Di Santo for example.

i remember BAE going in badly on someone (couldn't remember who it was though) and i said at the time he was lucky not to be sent off.

adam has previous on bale and isn't really a pl player. not just because of his poor tackling ability (considering the position he plays) but because he isn't good enough.

bale is a very important player to spurs. this was a pre-season ''friendly'' in soaring heat, there is no excuse for doing this kind of thing at any time, let alone before the season has even started! we're already missing VDV and parker for the start of the season.

i find it hard to see how anyone could not see bale's point there. is adam completely thick? i can only assume he must be. injuring a player (any player) must be an awful feeling, especially when you put them out for 3 months is one thing. that's when he was at blackpool. then he goes in hard on bale for liverpool (when we thumped them 4-0) and is sent off within 30 mins. then he does this in a ''friendly''. thick **** who shouldn't be in the prem and it's difficult to not associate this with him having a bit of a problem with bale.

Boo ******* hoo. The soft **** played until half time, if he was that injured he should've come off immediately. He's just milking it to get sympathy now.

Be fair, 15 of the 30 minutes in between the tackle and him being forced off with a terrible injury were spent with him rolling around on the floor and the Spurs medical staff deciding whether they need a stretcher, before he returned to the pitch and sprinted down the wing.

He's probably more upset that he wasn't clever enough to get Adam sent off:

Bale said:
You’ve just got to try to be a bit clever about it. I’ve got a few people sent off this year by doing that.

Maybe Spurs will take him off us when Modric goes. Levy did try to sign him 18 months ago. Using cm1179's market rate formula, he's worth £22m.

It was a poor tackle, but nothing more than a free kick, perhaps a yellow card with a card happy referee, but for the 'bestest player in the world eva' to label Adam a 'coward' is comewhat ridiculous, particularly as Bale is a self confessed diver.

Dunno what all the fuss is about this Adam tackle, everyone knows Bale was already injured hence not in Olympic squad, it was a pre-existing condition.

Nice easy win to round out the tour of Asia.

Tomorrow the Euro lads play against Oldham before the main squad fly out to Wolfsburg and that is our last friendly before Community Shield.

Seriously what is the big deal with the Adam tackle? I saw the clip on youtube and for Bale to call him a coward is out of order. It's hardly a bad tackle, not worth warranting a red card. He's the coward for backing out of the Olympic squad. Look at how Sturridge came through his battle with meningitis to play for GB.
