US: Preacher - 2016

Finally caught up on the first 3 epsiodes, great start in the first 2, dropped off slightly in the 3rd to start setting things up later in the series.

The Saint's pistols sound like .50 cals , really felt each shot when he was firing.

I love that aspect of this show..

Also the Game of Thrones references were so well written especially the "Even Dinklage flys business class" line was quality

I really look forward to this show, it is properly bonkers, but still beautifully written acted and produced. I have loved season 2 so far, some of the gore has been wince inducing and giggly. The season 1 episode where they fight the angel in the motel room is still a highlight for me though.

Nice ending and the new direction of the show was cool at first but at the same time if a new season was to arrive I wouldn't miss it.

I liked the beginning of this season but didn't find it that interesting the more it went on. The Saint and Herr Starr were much more interesting to me than the main characters and Jesse particularly just wasn't very interesting.

Agree characters are a bit bland, events and situations clearly being dragged out across the season also.

But there are rumours season 3 paperwork has been filed and a budget also met for filming Jan 2018 but its not confirmed.

They did mention a decline in ratings this season though but not so bad enough to get the cut, so its still possible.

Wasn't massively taken with Season 2 like I was Season 1. I'll give it a watch though and see how it goes.

I gave up half way through season 2, there was just nothing but filler which is a shame as the first couple of episodes were great. It definitely feels like one of those shows where it needs to have 6-8 episodes per season at max.

I'm not sure if I should go back to finish it up, I've only just suffered my way through the remaining episodes of Goliath season 1 out of sheer stubbornness!

Luckily for me I was only watching Billions & Westworld which have both just finished, so should be able to jump straight back into Preacher!
