Premier League Fixtures - 13th-15th September (Spoilers)

Well my take on the game.

After we scored first we should have gone for it but we sat back. Liverpool took full advantage and deservedley won the game. Too many mistakes from us.

I still maintain the ref was bias. Also that Robbie Keane is way out of his depth in a Liverpool shirt. How can you goto your boyhood team and need confidence to play.

Well done to Babel for being the first player since Tommy Smith to score a goal from open play against us

Basically sums it up for me too

Vidic deserved to go - but ref was giving away stupid free kicks at times

Talk about it. 30 million pounds for a climbing frame for Liverpool players to play on for 90 minutes.

And Vidic misses the Chelsea match aswell.

Well we know where to get the lessons from. Isn't about November when the whining starts in Liverpewl about seasons being over, must win games etc etc etc etc etc ad nauseum

I've said nothing about winning the league. I didn't think we'd do it and I still don't. United and Chelski will be top of the pile when it matters, I'm realistic enough to realise that.

both liverpool goals down to silly errors. vds was all over the place today, what the hell was that dive he was doing for the wb own goal?

And giggs should have put that straight out instead of trying to be clever.

Not sure whats wrong with rooney, doesnt seem to be with it recently, other than the england game.

I feel all is not lost if Fergie fixes up the team, still think we can beat Chelsea if we get our winning mentality back on, we got very lucky last year to win the league, we can't afford to be making these mistakes and expect to win the league!

Rubbish. Berbatov (like Shearer did) is known for nudging the defender just before he jumps. Both Spurs' goals last year came from Berbatov nudging Hyypia before he jumped to knock him off balance.

Ok we are going to have to agree to disagree. Every 50/50 bar the two deserved yellows on Vidic went Liverpools way

Not a very good performance at all and we gifted Liverpool both goals. Before the match I was quite excited looking at the team but a few points can be made about it now:

-Scholes shouldn't play in these hectic away games, he is simply too slow. Fletcher or Hargreaves should have started instead.
-If Berbatov is going to play we need to drop Tevez or Rooney, simple. This will be made easier once Ronaldo is back.
-Carrick needs to not get injured for once

Well done Liverpool you were the better team today.

Forgot to mention Riera. Thought he done very well tbh, much better player than he was at Cit and on the back of todays performance im glad we've got him rather than Barry or Downing.

I think you were watching another game to be honest. I thought MU were superb in the first 20 minutes and the game could have been over before half time. However Liverpool came back into it and made it an interesting game of footy. Lots of mistakes, nerves, etc. but I felt that we deserved to win. The ref wasn't great - hell when he took down Keane he could have been off but Ferdinand was covering (so it would have been harsh). However it was a blatant second yellow and he had to go.

I'd say the ref was very 50/50 he gave you some stupid things and he gave us some stupid things, he was very event. At least we didn't score a goal and have it waved as play on like other teams against MU - I certainly think MU have had more than there fair share of fortunate refereeing in the past.

Edit: Thought Riera did really well. Babbel was okay when he came on. Mascherano was a rock at the back but did give the ball way to easily. Alonso - well I'd keep him instead of buying Barry.

Scousers played well second half, utd started well then sat back, scholes should not start games in midfield anymore, vds had an awful game. Our midfield looked very poor without Carrick, anyone know what he has done? my money is on broken metertarsel...

Utd bounce back with a nice easy game next week in the league without our best defender :(

Can scousers hold onto top spot? we shall wait and see....

Yeah, hes **** because he has had a few bad games for a new team.

Can you not remember him at Tottenham? They're top goalscorer?

So fickle.

Keane was below average for Tottenham, he is a good finish, but hes overal game is very poor

What a horrible formation by Man U today, completely based around accommodating Berbatov. What's Fergie gonna do when Ronaldo is back? Someone will have to be benched.

Fair play to Liverpool, not seen a team dominate a half against Man U as much as they did in the 2nd period.

From a neutral I dont think the ref gave anything unfairly.

about the only error he made was not red carding vidic when he scythed keane down.

Vidic can't have any complaints with the ref for the sending off, just the team, he was forced to make his first challenge, he had to do something. His second was a stupid thing to do, but he was angry and rushing to get forward, understandably.

In that case i apologize.

But i still dont think he is ****... You just dont get his kind of goalscoring record by being a bad player, he just maybe isnt as good as i thought. (Tbf, i never really watched much of him, most likely only caught his best bits.)

Nice to see VDS get his comeuppance today, I've said for ages he's a liability but Utd fans just don't see it. In our last few fixtures his goal has lived a very charmed life.

Alonso was excellent today, MotM for me.

I think you'll find that I have said the same and agree. As have other United fans.

We were **** and Liverpool were better, simple as.
