What a shocking performance from Utd, truly appalling.

Well in control for the first 25, Liverpool get a scrappy goal and then basically control the remaining 3/4 of the game. Have to give Liverpool credit for pressing home their domination, but when I see Utd play as bad as that (And I can't remember how long it is since they were so bad) I can't look past the performance. It goes without saying the result is disappointing, but on the scale of things to get ****ed off about, a display like that takes it by a mile.

Can't complain about the result. Livepool deserved to win. After we scored, we backed off instead of trying to double our lead. What really ticked me off was Carrick being allowed to play on for 20 minutes injured, hobbling around the pitch, not in the game at all. That was the time to bring on a sub and keep at it, but no. Liverpool got back into the game and basically kept the pressure on us until the end. And I'll repeat what I said earlier,

If in doubt, kick it the **** out!

What the blooming hell was Giggs thinking.

Never have I been so happy to be wrong. Imagined the worst after the United goal but we grew in confidence and fully deserved the win.

United's formation looked full of goals before the game but ended up looking a top heavy mess. Far too many attacking players to stop us through the middle and down the wings.

Thought Riera had a fantastic first game for us as did Yossi down the right. He's not a natural winger but at least played down the right he looks effective.

For United Tevez was the stand out player yet again and the only United player that looked up for a fight. Scholes should be put down.

It is rather sad isn't it (ok maybe not for you :p) Scholes' entire contribution now consists of holding deep and passing the ball back/to the side for someone else to actually do something with it, or having to rectify one of his many unsuccessful attempts at controlling the ball.

We're looking good today - but Blackburn have had their spells - nice to get the 2nd goal just before half time
