So the first two players were inducted into the HoF today. They were goals scoring legends Alan Shearer and Thierry Henry. There are 6 other places up for grabs from a list of the premier leagues best.

The nominees are:

Tony Adams, David Beckham, Dennis Bergkamp, Sol Campbell, Eric Cantona, Andrew Cole, Ashley Cole, Didier Drogba, Les Ferdinand, Rio Ferdinand, Robbie Fowler, Steven Gerrard, Roy Keane, Frank Lampard, Matt Le Tissier, Michael Owen, Peter Schmeichel, Paul Scholes, John Terry, Robin van Persie, Nemanja Vidic, Patrick Viera, Ian Wright.

My 6 are Bergkamp, Cantona, Ashley Cole, Gerard, Keane (close between him and Vieira) and Scholes.

Who’s your 6?

How the hell is Rooney not nominated
Someone on Twitter (football journo) mentioned that even though he’s publicly retired, he played this season and is still officially registered with the FA as a player for Derby, so is ineligible. The minute he retires properly, he’ll be on it. Hence why the likes of Ronaldo, Kompany, Silva and Suarez are missing.

Cantona is my first thought no doubt about it. People just do not realise how much of a catalyst he was for the next 20 years of dominance. Retired way too early as well. Watching him was just majestic.

My other 5 would be Scholes, Keane, Schmeichel, Prime Owen and Ashley Cole.

I guess Ryan Giggs not being included is because he beat up two girls.

Yeah i would have Giggs in there. Owen as well in OP's top 6.

Steven Gerrard, Roy Keane, Frank Lampard, Paul Scholes, John Terry, Ashley Cole.

If you are taking Giggs out for this recent allegation (I agree with him not being in it btw) then you cant have Cantona in it.

My 6 would be: Frank Lampard, Ian Wright, Paul Scholes, Ashley Cole, Peter Schmeichel and Dennis Bergkamp.

Cech is listed as an emergency keeper, as well as his tech technical role.

Just clicked on the link and submitted 6 votes, with no registration needed?

Absolutely shocking, anyone can create a voter bot and away you go

In theory, yes, you could. Not sure 'the internet' would bother to do so though, when there's not a funny option to vote spam for :p

Whole list seems weird. Why can you vote repeatedly? Why's it restricted to 8 rather than a best 11? Why isn't it done over a set period of time like 92-01, 02-11, 12-21 rather than from inception to now? Where's Kompany and Gary Neville? Why's Les Ferdinand on the list?

I'll go with Schmeichel, Terry, Vieira, Gerrard, Lampard and Scholes. Would have Giggs over Schmeichel if he was on the list.
