Unsure if you're joking...have you researched him and seen what he has actually done?

He has performed miracles on a super low budget and turned Brighton into a top half Premier League club. BRIGHTON. Plus his hard work with Swansea.

He won three promotions and the Svenska Cupen with Östersund, leading them to the 2017–18 UEFA Europa League knockout stage.
Likewise

Brighton have finished once inside the top 10, since returning to the top flight.

Potters Win percentage in the Premier League is 28.3% that is not what you call a success.

Ok you're not understanding this very well. :o It is NOT just about win percentage.

It is how the team have changed since he has been brought in, the signings with not much money and got them to their highest ever league position of 9th last season. He has done wonders since he joined in 2019. This is Brighton we're talking about. A very small club compared with others.

This isn't even taking into account what he did with Swansea and the triple promotions with Östersund.

EDIT: if everyone went by your logic, there would be zero managers moving to clubs because of their win percentage not being high enough. :p

You win games you finish higher in the league. Nothing complicated about that.

Leicester is a smallish club, we've done bigger wonders, I still want Rodgers sacked.

I am very upset, Potter has seen a period of football in Brighton i have not seen for 35 years.
What annoys me the most is not potter its the fact he has also taken 6 other staff with him gutting the team we hqve built.

Was the Queen a secret seagulls fan?

More relevant to this topic i agree it's weird he's allowed to rip out the entire/core senior coaching team as he goes. It must be some interesting contractual set up that their employment is tied to his or else I don't see how he could without Brighton preventing it. That said the incoming manager will presumably want to have a say in who they work with too so maybe it just clears the way for that.

Brighton have no games now until 1st October, unless they somehow un-postpone the Palace game now the train strikes have been cancelled which I doubt they can.

So despite it being terrible timing, we've hopefully got a decent window to get someone in. Can't say I know a lot about him, but Kjetil Knutsen is the current favourite with the bookies, seems like he's done well over in Norway. Saw some rumours we're interested in Marcelo Gallardo, given he has been linked to the likes of PSG I can't really see it happening

This is why managerial contracts are completely different to players and really need to change. The reality to Brighton is that Potter is worth the same as a 100-200 million plus player. In fact it is really hard to put a figure on it. I am sure Brighton will stay up this season because of the start they have had but to find a decent manager to continue what he has done will be nigh on impossible. They could easily go down next season.

If I was Brighton I would be giving Scott Parker a ring pronto.

Chelsea having to pay a 20 million severance package is laughable.

In isolation yes Potters win percentage was a mere 31% last season but a lot of draws. Only 3 teams had less defeats than Brighton last season.

If Potter had a 20 goal a season striker at Brighton I am sure he would have finished stronger.

Us Leicester fans are thinking of the gap we would have had if Rodgers was given the boot after the last game. Its as if he cant do anything wrong.

However in his last press conference the last two journalists gave him a proper grilling, could see he was raging inside, and was nice to see proper questions been asked.

One of the questions was asked could he explain why he is top of the defeats when winning games table, answer "I dont know".

Start at around 8 mins 20 seconds.

What I'd like to know is what Rodgers writes in that little notebook of his during matches. Everytime the opposition score and the camera cuts to him he's scribbling in this little book. What's it for?

Well we have a new manager now, De Zerbi. Sounds like he’s already got a team available to come with him after Potter took a number of staff with him.

Hopefully they can all get in and settled before our next game. I don’t know loads about him, but from reading about he seems to have done okay and has a similar style to how we already play.

Talk that Juve were possibly lining him up too, as not been a great start to the season for Allegri.

His CV looks decent enough, but always a bit of an unknown how things work in another country/culture/language.

Lage gone. Good riddance. Some bizzare decisions and yday prime example asking neves to sit back in defence when you've let your best defender and captain go on loan to one of your rivals
