I really worry for Leicester now. Where they are now isn't really Rodgers fault as they failed to invest at all plus let their keeper go. I fancied them to stay up with Rodgers at the helm. Not so much now. Will be a lot of easy pickings if they go down.

If you believe the media stories yes, the team is still most of the team that was top 5 twice. He has gravely mismanaged the squad, many players taken out of the picture for unknown reasons, horrible injury record, he threw away many leads in games due to panicky defensive substitutions, also many of his press conferences sent out the wrong message, and he cant read games well so often gets out maneuvured by the opposing manager. He also seems to have issues when at a club for a long time.

Liverpool fans I know have said similar.

He has left the team utterly lost in confidence. I also expect Kasper left as he likely had a disagreement with Rodgers on how the team was been managed. I expect Kasper was holding things together as captain.

Why dont you like Shakespeare? was great for us.

I expect Shakespeare will know quickly if the squad has character, the right mentality for the fight as he was here when we had the team built under Pearson.
I am not keen on staff coming back after being sacked, his record wasn't particularly great, 1 win in 10.

Weird that when Shaky got the bullet, we were in the bottom 3, now he's returned we are in the same position.

Well he is assistant now, and his record as assistant was superb, Pearson coming back didnt do us any harm.

The obvious benefit I think will be he will know quickly if the mental strength of the team is wrong.

interesting, i've been away and ill the last few days so this has caught me by surprise. Dean Smith, Shakey and Terry. Wow. If that pays off then that will be inspired. However am i the only one predicting a rugby score defeat against Man City?

Yeah they got brought in with bad timing for first game, dont expect anything but a defeat in that game.

I wonder if this summer we need to do three polls:
1) who gets sacked first
2) who gets sacked vs survives the season
3) which managers join the PL teams at some point

Sacked now

What's with their obsession with Ryan Mason
BBC news article in case anyone has missed it:

Is that a bit harsh on him given he made changes at half time and shored up the ship, 2nd half being 1-1? The players need to take the blame rather than him directly surely? Clearly the players were capable of doing better when they bothered to put their minds to it.

How hard would you try if you knew your boss was a temporary one and no matter what you do you'll still get paid and still have a job with no repercussions for any poor performances because your new boss will be a clean slate?

but then why would it be any different with someone else?

Lampard will probably be next, I mean it's pretty bad to sacked when your not even the long term manager lol
Look at their fixtures! You'd have to be mad or cocky to want to take that on. 6 matches, 4 top 4 battles. I say stick Southgate in there on a short term basis as it won't clash with England duties. Help him get used to figuring out how to tackle big teams and practise adapating his tactics. The lack of Chelsea's attack should be right up his street too.

Pochettino to Chelsea looking likely. Could be a good appointment, they need a bit of calm. I like him.

Certainly 100x better than Lampard :p
