I get it from foxes talk.

As an example I suggested dyche as its clear we need a manager who needs to put grit back into our team and teach the players the basics again, but apparently we above managers like dyche now.

Right now we need an impact manager who knows how to play dirty, direct, and can work with limited money. Poch is totally the wrong kind of manager for that, I also believe Potter wouldnt work either.

Everton who have won several titles, have a bigger stadium and are a more established top tier club signed Ancelotti and then he left them very quickly It was an exception not the norm for them.

If you really are trying to prove to me, you not one of these star gazing fans, why the obsession with a big name manager?

Also the LCFC job is horrible, its a big chance to get a relegation on your CV this season, little money to spend, and the best players are winding down their contracts, vardy sadly is a bit part player now. If we got rid of Rodgers before the WC break, it would have been more attractive. Any manager with a half decent reputation would be nuts to come to us, I believe potter according to talksport said no right away.
Are you a Cov fan in disguise?

If there's one sacking this year that's justified beyond all others it's Gerrards. Frankly amazing where Villa now sit after that complete chancer led the club. Hopefully enough so that no one in the PL ever looks at him again.
Bobby Robson didnt even last 1 season in his first managerial position in England, got his team relegated. Ended up becoming quite a good manager though I think its safe to say. I dont think that your first managerial team in the EPL should necessarily be a barometer that they will never be a good manager.

Pessimst more like

I'd rather we bought back Martin O'Neill than that jesse ;)
I am not thrilled with the choice but it was a panic sacking with the following situation.

Little money to spent.
In the bottom 3.
Worst form since the WC.
15 first team players contracts ending this year or next.

Which credible manager would want the job right now? What was you actually expecting?

Like I've said previously, just get someone decent to come in until the end of the season, no long term commitment, so it's a win win as it keeps everyone's options open.

We need to steady the ship and give the team the lift they desperately need.

I think we on different wavelengths, we wont get someone decent because we sacked Rodgers way too late.

Nodge fan here...
Spock eyebrow 're Smithy, I'd like to see him do well as many of the issues he had with us weren't his fault (poor performances, injuries).
However there were rumours of poorly run training sessions, players lacking fitness after he'd gone and a distinct lack of passion and effort in matches. Whether those were down to the ***** players we had or straight from the coaches we don't know. He did pretty much blame the fans for poor performance before he was fired though!!
Long term can't see him sticking in either division without funds.
Side note I didn't see Leicester going down w/Rogers

The Leicester keeper situation always confused me.

I mean Kasper was old, I get that. But there's a reason Ward was second fiddle at a team like Leicester lol.
Kasper is a legend, such and important part of the Leicester team.

Top, Rudkin and Rodgers all knew Kasper was leaving and didn't do anything to replace him, especially when Pope was still available at such a bargain price.

I'll take it on a short term basis. Shame about Shakespeare coming back.

Hopefully Terry can give the defence a good kick up the ****
Why dont you like Shakespeare? was great for us.

I expect Shakespeare will know quickly if the squad has character, the right mentality for the fight as he was here when we had the team built under Pearson.
