The fact that he has made very similar mistakes for more than one club would seem to suggest there is a rather major floor in his ability.

He was excellent the year before we bought him by all accounts but he's been rubbish ever since he's arrived. The only reason he got a game under JM is because he should've performed and the only reason he gets a game now is because we've no-one else to cover in that position and if we'd got Robinho (or anyone else for that matter) the other week I firmly believe Malouda would've gone somewhere else at the same time

Bramble is actually a very good defender at times, he's just prone to the odd mistake. He's not as bad as everyone makes out.

I actually think he was a really good player, when he was a Fullback. Now hes expected to be a winger, hes just crap

Oddly enough, when he went back to being a LB, he wasn't very good.

Though he's seemingly almost not a bad player recently. He's done a lot better compared to most of his previous performances in recent matches.
