He wasn't that bad before his injury, and even after - Nowhere near one of the worst players in the premier league.
People seem to be forgetting this thread was for the worst players, not just players that weren't very good.
i don't know, a LONG time ago at leeds he got some goals, but in the past 5 years, he's played a lot of games upfront with an incredibly poor goal tally for a striker, near one of the worst strikers, a striker sooo ineffective that he was dropped to midfield, where he's completely hopeless, he's basically just a wrecking ball always one challenge away ending someones career, wouldnt' class him as good now.
Talking of really bad goal tallys, Akibayi (or however its spelt), he's terrible, especially considering, what 7 and 5mil on transfer fee's for someone that barely ever scored.
Its hard to look past Bramble, though theres a very clear problem, literally that he's a fat git. Seriously, if you watch him especially in his Newcastle days, and look at newcastle stats while he was there, they conceded so many ridiculously poor goals but ALL in the second half, newcastle conceded very few, one of the lower ranked teams in the league in the first half, but by far the worst in the 2nd half of games, and this in a season they were above midtable. he's simply unfit and awful concentration which I would suggest are one and the same problem, tiredness in 2nd half. Last year he was far better, even scored quite a few goals IIRC. But he's back to his fat, useless self this year.
Thing is, he was rated as a prospect, he can look very good, i suspect if he ever stopped being a fat git he might be good for a whole game.
