Premier League worst players?

Actually I don't think anyone has mentioned many of the Derby players from last season (apart from Darren Moore). Surely getting the lowest points total ever in the EPL has to make some of them contender for worst player ever? Their top goalscorer was Kenny Miller with 4 goals!!

Darren Moore certainly has to be one of the worst though.

100 odd posts and no mention of Gary Neville?
Shocking!

I'm a red and when he's on nowadays we seem to lose. It was only becuase Djemba Djemba and Veron were in the side that he didn't look so bad...

Bramble makes more than his fair share of errors, but what's saddening is that he'll be absolutely solid for 89 minutes of a match and is quite capable of keeping the biggest, strongest strikers at bay for the entireity of a match before making a ridiculous mistake.

Hope he sorts himself out at some point. :)

Thats utterly retarded. He was instrumental in letting Beckham play as he did, solo, beckham was useless, he could not go around people, he needed space to provide the crosses he did, Neville was his perfect foil, he's great on the overlap and not a half bad crosser. He's an incredibly consistant performer for over a decade. He's not great at the moment as he's coming back from how long out exactly, over a year now while fairly old which for most people = harder to come back to full form so hardly surprising.

I'm a gooner, and I'd say Neville might well have been the single most consistantly good performer for England that we've ever had(well, in the past 5-8 years).

AS for Cygan, he's one of those that suffered from no games all season then being thrust into games with no match fitness in an injury crisis against Man U or something. When he had a run of games he actually picked up form, is playing great at, I think its Villareal and his last several performances at Arsenal were actually very very very good. He even played at left back and was very good up the wing surprisingly, and got a fantastic brace at some point. He's not even close to the worst Arsenal player let alone worst in the League. grimandi in defence made Cygan look like one of the best in the world in all the history of football tbh.

I think this is pre-Premiership, but Carlton Palmer! He was also the worst player ever to feature for England, I'm sure. He had absolutely zero ball control. I think he only made it into teams because his spasticated flailing confused defenders and gave others in the team a chance on goal.

Surely Jon Stead has to feature???

Stead was a great panic buy, however I do agree that after that he fizzled out after that season. I think we paid 1mil for him which in retrospect is a bargain, as someone already mentioned, his goals kept us up!

I think one of our worst players and a possible candidate here would be Corrado Grabbi, 7 million pounds for 2 goals in 30 games.
