We will be great again. We have some of the best engineers in the world but don't convert it into exports abroad e.g. the car industry.

Most of the things that are going to go up in price are either unnecessary or subsitutional. It's a chance to reevaluate our epicurean tendencies and think about what is important in life. Is it so important that we need to buy a new BMW at x price? Is Nando's chicken on a different plane to other chicken, or have we been sucked in by the clever marketing of international companies?

Leaving the EU is not going to be a pivotal point of societal revolution where we all come to the sudden realisation that we're actually self-sufficient and the best at making and doing everything ever.

People will still want BMWs and Nando's and iPhones and whatever else they spend their money on, and realistically the prospect of not being able to immediately afford those luxuries often isn't a barrier anyway.

Do you actually know any of these great British engineers? Because I do and they ALL wanted to remain because they get outsourced all across Europe ffs. And you know what they bring back with them?? European money.

The world doesn't just revolve around your concerns about overpriced Nandos and BMWs. seriously? :(

Yes I've worked for engineering companies all my life.

Read my post I don't have concerns, but other people do. German car prices have been discussed a lot, and also Nando's due to the false reports about them closing all restaurants - an absurd tactic used to scared people into voting remain..

So you've never earned money from Europe/overseas? You sound like a BT Openreach "engineer". The engineers I'm talking about specialise in aeronautics and are pretty ****ing annoyed at this potential new barrier to being able to work across Europe.

Well you've heard it here folks. No UK-bred aeronautical engineer has the right to be be ****ed off about leaving the EU because Chojin "has worked for engineering companies" and he's fine about leaving and also because I used a bit of swearing.

But guess what - I don't need to qualify myself to you. You saying you know aeronautical engineers is just name dropping and trying to give yourself credibility by association. You sound very immature and insecure. If your associates are good at what they do then they will be in high demand - countries will make it very easy for them to travel around Europe whether the UK is in the EU or not.

I'd like to thank OCUK representatives for being as open as they have been about how the business works as most companies wouldn't comment.

I think personally i was a little perturbed that they increased prices so quickly after the vote but obviously they have to act in order to protect the business.

Pleased to see Gibbo rolled back the prices (at least temporarily) to see how things pan out over the next few days (hopefully the pound will strengthen again in the currency markets following the initial Friday shock.

One mans opinion is not enough to base the UKs future on!

These politicians / people who wanted us out of the EU. Don't you think they have done their homework?

Some people need to get real and see that this, in the long term, is going to be the best thing for the UK.

We do not need to be ruled by other countries! We do not need to be ploughing our money into other countries! The UK, Great Britain, used to be 'GREAT'. It has not been 'GREAT' for a very long time!!!!!

Now, we have a chance to be 'GREAT' once more!

You sound like you're at a Trump rally. How embarrassing for all of us.

The entire voting population, 95% of whom have had their opinions implanted by the likes of Daily Fail et al., of which a large percentage of people could be classed as clinically insane, of which a large number of people could simply be fuelled by hate and bigotry, of which a large number of people could be fuelled by whatever you can think of which has got absolutely nothing to do with the future of our country, is not definitive confirmation of any advantage for being in or out of the EU whatsoever.

If politicians had done their homework there would never have been a referendum.

Step away from the keyboard and go and find your medication.

Did you read what he said or have you missed your medication too?

This is a discussion forum.

You seem to be suffering from some issues yourself since you are unable to rebut my statements at all, let alone demonstrate any sort of logic and reasoning whatsoever.

Don't worry, I will ask you the questions you need to answer in order to rebut my statements.

1) Do you think none of the voting population has ever been influenced by a tabloid news article, ever? Please explain why or how?

2) Is every potential voter vetted by a qualified practitioner to ascertain whether he is not clinically insane? Please explain why you think every single voter is mentally healthy.

3) Is it impossible for a voter to be fuelled by hate or is a bigot simply not going to vote? Please explain why you think people fuelled by hate or bigotry will not vote.

If you think every voter has made their choice out of absolute logic and reason then why on earth is the result so close?

If you think a bunch of politicians "did their homework" then how on earth do you explain the equal number of politicians who have done their homework for the opposite side!??

In fact the actual results of the referendum prove that it was about as useful as flipping a coin lmao. :D

So if we accept that immigration won't change and we'll still have to allow free movement then why wouldn't it be the case the UK citizens could move freely within the EU?

Now that we're out, we still have to abide by EU regulations in order to trade with the EU. However, if there were any restrictions on our ability to trade with non EU countries, we no longer have that restriction.

Isn't all that a good thing? I voted remain BTW.

UK business in "doing stuff to keep company afloat whilst on very choppy waters" shocker.

I'd rather they up their prices and stay in business than go under and leave me to shop at the likes of the indian food place.

I don't think anyone could've predicted what was going to happen this week so I assume Gibbo and co are simply doing their best to ride out these indisputably difficult and very unpredictable times. Yes they may have told the odd porky but I very much doubt the intention was malicious, but rather the result of someone looking at the news and some spreadsheets and panicking.

Chill out folks, OcUK have done us well for years. If you don't want to shop here then fine, but throwing your toys out on their forum isn't really achieving anything.
