Haha, and just the other week I was accused of being too polite.

Amazing buck-jumping there chaps, congratulations.

people have no manners these days! i bet he doesnt say a simple "thank you" after beeing served either! i bet he snatchs the bag and receipt like some crackhead scoring a fix!
politeness costs nothing! i bet the staff thought a monkey had escaped from the local zoo

What the heck are you bleeting on about?

I've seen countless times people have just tried to walk through someone and squeeze through the tiniest spaces or just stand there, silently, and wait. It's ridiculous. A simple excuse me will result in the person letting you past.
Politeness costs nothing, so why do so many people fail to be polite?

Sorry Nix, had to laugh :D

I've you ever fancy deliberately falling out with the Mrs then buy her a Primark in-store gift voucher - not that I would do this ok ;)

Primark sucks. At first I was like o_O, then i was like ^_^.

Clothes sizes are well out
quality of the clothes is really poor
Fit and cut is really bad
The range and selection is poor.

NEXT, is like an upmarket Primark, as well. The quality of the clothes is poor, and the selection is terrible. I had a voucher to spend and eventually bought a top, which started to literally fall apart 2 days after wearing it.

Maybe that's just the mens stuff, but I can always just waste time looking in there. My preferred high street shop is Debenhams for general clothes.

Odd, I am currently wearing a shirt I bought from Primark 4 years ago, and it's fine. I also have various Next items that are around 2 years old.

Really? Next is leagues ahead of most other high street shops, although I only ever buy Jeans, Shirts and underwear from them.

I made a similar mistake going into H&M yesterday, pile it high, sell it cheap and rubbish quality... Think I'll be sticking with Next, outdoor shops and the more "upmarket" shops which have more floorspace and less people!

On the other end of the scale I went into an expensive branded shop (can't remember which one now, something like Ted baker) and got the opposite, a security guard following me round an empty shop... Just because the clothes are more expensive doesn't mean I'm going to steal them... or need help doing everything!*

*This isn't a "I shop in expensive places", rather a "first time I've been in an expenive shop" post.:p

I think women like it because they can get so many clothes so cheaply that it doesn't matter if they fall apart etc as they will be buying the next fashion the following week.

The only good thing I have ever got from there are some plain white t-shirts.

To be honest, I've found almost every single shopping chain tends to go in cycles regarding their quality. Must be to do with their sourcing.

It's worse when fashion dictates a few year's of horrible 'cuts'. Back in 2004, Topman used to be okay for buying some t-shirts and things then for years it started getting very poncey and targetted at skeletons. Not sure what it's like at the moment.

My wife insists on shopping in Primark with the rest of the chavs. Nothing she has ever bought was anything other than crap, quality wise. The cheap tat they sell is a false economy, you might as well spend a bit extra elsewhere and have something that not only fits better but lasts longer and thus, doesn't require yet another trip to Primark the following week.

I've been in Primark once and that was when a friend forced me to. It was the store in Watford and I had a similar experience. She was buying a couple of bits for holiday and she spotted a grey cardigan that was "nice." She literally forced me to buy it as it was so cheap. It lasted one wash before the stitching came out and it also smelt funny like it still wasnt clean. It was binned after that.Terrible shop and such a false economy.
