Primary School Songs

"All things bright and beautiful, all creatures great and small.
All things wise and wonderful, the Lord God made them all."

Since the education system in Zimbabwe was built very much upon the British system, I remember a lot of the above. I also went to a Catholic school so most of mine were religous.

This little light of mine is another obvious one.

"This little light of mine,
I'm gonna let it shine
This little light of mine,
I'm gonna let it shine
This little light of mine,
I'm gonna let it shine
Let it shine,
Let it shine,
Let it shine."

when I was 1 I broke my thumb the day I went to sea
I climbed aboard the pirates ship and the captain said to me
weeeeee're going this way, that way, forward, backwards

My mummy told me, If I was goody that she would buy me a rubber dolly
My Auntie told her, I kissed a solider, now she won't buy me a rubber dolly
Three-six-nine, the goose drank wine, The monkey chew tobacco on the street car line, The line broke, the monkey got choked
And they all went to heaven in a little row boat.

Oranges and lemons says the bells of St Clements

Shine Jesus Shine

"He's got the whole world in his hands! He's got the whole wide world in his hands!"

lmao!

Used to sing loads of religious stuff and i never ever believed in god! Even when i was at primary school as i made my mind up hen i was about 5 or 6 somehow!

What makes me laugh is the fact that we used to have muslims at out school and they all had to sing the christian songs too lol!!
