What are people’s thoughts on them?

I personally really like them and would have no problem spending a few K on a good plate if I could afford it.

I saw CEO 1 in town a couple of days which I thought was rather cool.

I have no issue with them.

I like the ones that are to do with the model of car, for example I've seen a few Honda S2000's for sale with plates like 'S2000 UV'. I think it looks good :)

I was just looking at some pics of a S14a where the reg was R200 SXX.

There also used to be a Rover Coupe up the road that had the reg R200 CPE which I thought was cool when I was younger!

I like mine. It's my initial and nickname together, it's not illegally spaced and means something to me and my friends.

I do find it frustrating if people miss-space or try to make it spell something and you have to de-cypher it.

Well spotted Iain ;)

When my Dad picks up his ST170 this weekend and sorts out the tax and insurance on it, his 1.6 Focus will become mine. So the Fiesta is as good as gone.

Nice, reasonable upgrade then :)

Will it gain a cheezegrater?

You were born in B7?

It looks the closest to 87 and no I won't make the B look like an 8 ;) It makes more sense to have that than anything else.

If I can find the OEM ones that were an option cheap enough, if not I won't be making my own ***** one :D

I have a prefix registration and the final 3 letters "VRS" on my Octy vRS.
Was an extremely cheap plate and totally hides the age of the vehicle.
It's on a 07 plate but as far as anyone is concerned it could be a 59.

I've been looking for a while.

Been difficult to find a good one with my initials (NAS) as they go into spelling a number of names.

I've seen a few N5 plates which are as close I can get without illegally placing the characters, which is something I won't do.

I was lucky with mine, it was someone on this forum that spotted it too but I can't remember who - For £250 it was a bargain!

I was after NS55 *** as N triple S are my initials but seeing as my current car is an '04 plate I can't fit it... next car though :)

I don't see an issue with private plates though, not sure why Clarkson and the like have problems with them
