Private plates?

The closest would be B16 KEV which is registered to a Vauxhall Omega or B19 KEV which is registered to a Kia, so I'm calling shenanigans on your anecdote.

I saw what I seen and i seen what i saw; i've no reason to lie on an internet forum :/ although i realise whatever i say now i'm fighting a losing battle. meh.

You were born in B7?

He is not a real person, he is actually one of several AIs written in Visual Basic for Applications specifically to post on this forum. The VBA script is running under Microsoft Excel and B7 is the cell that stores all the information relating to his personality and posting style.

I have no issue with them.

I like the ones that are to do with the model of car, for example I've seen a few Honda S2000's for sale with plates like 'S2000 UV'. I think it looks good :)

Was on the motorway the other week and drove past a BMW 7 series that had the reg "BMW 730D" - the thing is, it had been debadged. a good idea or not, i can't decide!

According to the DVLA it is a diesel vehicle with an engine of 2993cc, so I guess it's ok.

Was hoping to find out it was a 720D or something (do they even make a 720D?)

Oh yes, its the right car! its just i assume they took the badges of to add a bit of mystery and then advertised it in massive text!

Can't decide if its a cool idea or not!

EDIT: There isn't a 720D i don't think.

I might consider a private plate if it was super cheap, but neither my name, initials or car work very well

I think they're for ****ers personally, I find it difficult to go past one without calling the owner a ****er. It also serves as a warning that this person is probably going to drive like a complete ****er.
But each to their own I guess.

I purchased one this month: N19 WMH

My birthday and initials, I like the idea of having a plate for life.

£250 + £26 for the plates to be printed. Still waiting for my new V5C.

Hows that divorce/period/other unfortunate incident going for you?

I have the best private plate IN THE WORLD

The plate I want has recently become available. Unsure whether to buy it atm though as it'll be years before I have a car new enough to use it on.

Saw B160 MAR on a 4x4 recently

was spaced to make BIG OMAR

and yes it did appear to be him driving ( so someone told me ;) )

please do not try and google who the driver was if you are at work :p

I like them for the purposes of making a plate look neat, also having something personal to put on each car you own appeals to me. I'll probably get one when I buy my next car, but will choose it based on how tidy it looks rather than my initials etc.

Crickey, your one angry young man, chill Winston!

I've never purchased one myself but I've had them on a couple of motors.
On my old 182 Trophy I had 'T6 PHY' which was part of a popular family of plates with the owners club.
On the Exige I've got '** MOO' which means nothing other than the noise a Cow makes! :) But I'll be going back to standard soon.

I find plates connected to the make/model of a car to be a bit geeky & plates that are somebodys initials just look like just a mess of letters, as for plates that have bolts & twists to make them look like something else, very tacky, very fake.

I like amusing plates that actually show a bit of character, ** TOY, ** UFO, ** WTF etc etc
