Pro Cycling Discussion 2016

Well that finish was absolute brutal! Sooo steep. Once again Spanish police showing the French how to do their jobs keeping so many people in check and the riders free to race.

Not much Vuelta love yet, but what a fantastic race todays was OBE definitely did their homework and absolutely nailed it! Great win by Simon Yates.

I love the fact ITV are talking about La Tour D'Avenir with the Colombians. All but Chaves look like they've had the hardest paperrounds known to man! How can Quintana and Atapuma look so old!

Another big crash for contador today. Gilbert had me laughing about the gc boys being unable to ride bikes. Tomorrows finish is going to be interesting that's for sure.

Interesting that la Vuelta seems pretty well policed from a crowd point of view. The Tour de France could learn a lot from this. Apparently spectators may face arrest if they attempt to run alongside the riders. Police blowing whistles at those who encroach. Good job from the Spanish police so far.

Vuelta is always well policed tbh. Or for as long as I can remember it's been this good.

Interesting comments from Quintana. Can't see it ever happening with Cycling trying to come into the 21st Century now...

Can see why they want it with Skys domination using it, but think there would be too many objections across the pack. Also considering Quintana had a proper ganders at his computer prior to his attack on Monday seems a bit conflicting.

It makes quintana look worried. Claiming it's taken the spectical out of racing, oh please.

Indeed, they all ride to it nowadays.mthimk today's finish will also take a big chunk out of the happiness he had on Monday evening. For a short climb where froome generally isn't at his strongest and easily had enough to overpower Quintana.

Agreed, he wouldn't say it if he weren't scared of being beaten by Froome. I don't think you can put the genie back in the bottle. I've got a power meter, for goodness' sake, they're hardly rare things. Quintana can have one if he wants... He may as well ask for a ban on clipless pedals.

Be funny if froome took his Garminoff his stem on a climb near the end and chucked it in his back pocket to prove s point. And yes the pros are mental. G riding with broken pelvis for 3 weeks. Froome with his broken foot last year finishing a minute down.lopez this vuelta with an exposed nerve. Loons the lot of them,

Shut down day! Tomorrow will hopefully be a belter! Live coverage starts on Eurosport from 11 so they're obviously expecting a lot to show the whole stage!
