Pro Cycling Discussion 2017

Stage 2:
The camera work at the back showing Henao and co. trying to get back was awesome. Still don't know what actually happened to him whether he had a crash or a mechanical.

Two punctures apparently, one in the front (changed wheel) and one in the rear (swapped to his brothers bike)

Awesome! Mega twitch of the bike but he has to correct it as his centre of balance/weight/body doesn't really move (Sprinter bulk!). Check the guy to his left who leans, but his bike hardly moves (certainly not quick enough to avoid anything). Total contrast. Sagan has his bike out the way and is then accurate enough to miss anything with his wheels once he can see what's on the floor around him.

Keeping my powder dry for the season, don't want to peak my posting too early :D

Anyone see the news regarding Discovery pulling channels from Sky from Tuesday which includes Eurosport. Really hope they get it resolved. All well and good streaming etc, but just want ability to record and watch again later at a good quality, as usually riding whilst the races are on.

Yep, saw this just now. Hopefully not as it's the only reason I really have my Sky sub and would probably not continue it without Eurosport in favour of their own player/stream and other media services.

I watch a lot of other sport, but it would certainly dent that. I still have Roubaix recorded frmo last year which I'm going to watch again!

Haha, I still have that on my planner too

Was hoping to record this years as I *should* be in my first RR that day :o but I won't have to worry if Eurosport isn't on Sky in April :p

Sky is a 'nice to have' but far from essential for me, especially with plenty of other services available :)

Some interesting stats from the TDU in this article:

I'm going to watch it at some point in the next month or two! Lazy day after an early morning TT! :D

Shame that the Porte stats are all estimated.

Anyone got a Kodi build/stream which features cycling?

Don't have Sky here, but have NowTV, which unfortunately has nothing (except the Tour and anything on Channel 5 through those channels catchup players)

Looked at Eurosport app and a subscription is damn expensive! :(

Eurosport is £20 for 12 months at the moment.

p.s. that's me sorted for 12 months with Eurosport Player. They still have the offer on for 12 months @ £19.99. If you have that, it pretty much covers all pro cycling for the year with the other races they don't have being on ITV4 or Bike Channel, both of which are free to view anyway :D

Does cyclocross count in here? As the world champs course for Sunday looks mighty snowy!!

My prediction is that there will be no snow on the course by Sunday. There will be loads of traffic from practice and the junior races before it as well as a slight rise in temperate over the next couple of days (2-4 degrees on saturday and not below freezing again after friday night) which will get rid of it all.

I cant decide if it's going to thaw quickly and make the course very wet and muddy or if it's just going to get brushed off by all the traffic but leave hard, frozen ground underneath which has very little grip.
