MSR unlike any that came before it. A 2 team race with Bahrain just on the tails.. Jumbo and uae are just in a different league every single race it seems. Although the race was won yesterday by who had the biggest balls....

Good to see mvdp back, but cant see him able to live with jumbo and uae on his own at flanders. Unfortunately seems like it'll be like this over the rest of the year with very few teams getting a look in anywhere...

I feel slightly bad for the classics riders that UAE/Jumbo are turning the usual order of things on their head but it definitely makes for a more interesting MSR.

That solo move down the Poggio is becoming more and more the blueprint to win it.

So so much norovirus/stomach bug going around the peloton in every race at the moment. Paris nice was decimated last week with about 100 abandons in total, and catalunya seems to be going the same way. Pidcock got a good old uci fine for his emergency plop, sorry stop on Saturday during San remo.

Certainly making the races have a bit more intrigue as the teams just aren't there for the riders and no one is able to control the race.

Strong Mapei vibes from certain teams this season:

To be fair, Laporte only stayed with WvA because he waited. Jumbo’s tactic seemed to be to let van Aert set the pace on the climbs and see if the domestiques could hold his wheel to help on the flat, rather than burning domestiques to create gaps.
