Pro Evolution 2011

IN THE QUARTER FINALS!!!!! SO EXCITED!!!!

Beat a guy on penalties cos he didn't know how to do them and I got my housemate to google it while I played just in case :p

Having put quite a few hours into this I would now have to say much like older versions, once you get past the initial 'this is ****' feeling the game is a lot of fun. It's not up to old standards, infact I don't know that I could even say it plays a better game of footie than FIFA. But, I always hit a wall with FIFA where after a few hours I stop enjoying the game, yet for some reason I can play Pro Evo over and over again.

Gotta say though, the commentary is so bad it's easily the worst I've ever heard. Sure there's kind of an unwritten rule for Pro Evo that the commentary will suck so turn it down and enjoy the gameplay, but this is a whole other level. Not that it matters one bit, just sticks out to me as it seems like they'd have to be trying to make it so poor.

Pens seem silly, though I guess it's just another way of doing things once you get used to them. I think I'm definately missing something with midfield headers though, just played a friendly against some guy and he won literally every single header in the middle of the park. Still beat him 3-0 though :p.
 
Google how to do pens, it's actually really easy, I had to panic-google when I was in the knockouts online :p

Through to the knockouts again, getting pretty good, gonna buy Carrol to go up front with Jerome then look at wingers.

How do I stop the ball bouncing off me when receive a cross or pass? The Old pes could press R2 player controls the ball? The manual says LS but can't see to do it lol

Could you let me know how to copy the files across? I've downloaded the rar file, unpacked it onto my USB stick but once that's on my PS3 i don't know how to access it, let alone copy the files over

Hi make sure the USB is formatted to Fat32 so the PS3 can read, then make folders on the usb stick called: PS3 > SAVEDATA put all the option files inside SAVEDATA folder.

Plug it in then go to Saved data Utility should find your usb stick will the files press Triangle then select copy. Have to copy each one manually, good luck let me know if you have problems.
 
Got to the final of a D3 cup and lost to a guy with Torres and Eto'o. Really annoying losing to bad players with really good teams :(

That all worked.. and i copied it across... but it's the wrong version :/ I have BLES20 and the option file was for 21.

Can you link me to the one you use if that's cool?

I know you asked about the bouncing ball upon passing, I think if you just don't hold any directions they stop the ball dead. Usually the ball bounces if I'm holding the same direction as where the ball has come from if that helps.

I'm still not very good at the game and it's ridiculously frustrating at times. My biggest annoyance so far is that I'm running down the pitch, I have a man on my outside on the wing running in support, I'll come to a defender, I'll delay the pass as long as is possible, hoping to draw the defender in creating an easy through ball to my winger but my winger just stops dead so I either get tackled or have to pass backwards... just fail imo. Maybe there's some way I can alter this in the tactics but I already have full width and full support and I'm not quite sure what else there is.

Thanks for the reply me & my friend were doing 2 vs 2 online our crosses/passes were going everywhere! This game drives me mad sometimes, just does not make sense we have scored 3 own goals in the last 6 games from attempting to clear the ball bye pressing Square lol.

On one occasion my defender volleyed the ball in the back of the net , 4 yards out keeper had no chance lol.

Yeah it's a bitch, it just seems completely random at times!
 
I have the same BLES number but what i'll do is delete everything i've put on and then try it again.

Is there any quick way of doing a bulk delete?

There's no quick way of deleting them off the console that I know of, which is really annoying, all I did was:

  • Download the Option File
  • Unzip it
  • Insert USB stick into PC
  • Make a new folder on your USB called PS3, then inside that create another folder called SAVEDATA
  • Put the OF into the SAVEDATA folder, so on your USB you will have PS3>SAVEDATA>all the folders from the OF
  • Plug USB stick into PS3
  • Go to Game-Saved Data Utility
  • Find your USB stick
  • All the kits and badges should show as single files, as well as an Edit Data file, and a System Data file
  • Start at the first file, press Triangle a Copy option will appear
  • Copy onto your PS3
  • Repeat for all kits and badges
  • Copy the Edit Data file, but NOT the System Data
