Project: 0001

Modding a window shouldn't be to hard.

Cut out the panel who you want it, then use some No more nails tape to hold your acrylic in place :)

Or you can drill some holes and mount the acrylic using some screws with nuts :)

Sorry for the delay folks.

Back at college and exams time.

I can only work on Saturdays now so I'll try and get as many updates as I can.

On the bright side, two of my packages finally arrived. Just missing the last and final one.

Anyway my Koolance items finally arrived :)

I made a change and I've decided not to use the EK Supreme.
I replaced it with this :)

Also here's my new GPU block.

....Looking absolutely superb matey! I'm hopefully going to get my internals for the Silverstone TJ07 back end of this week from the powder coaters. I've too have gone for a matt black finish. Hope you can help me with a few things:

What did you use to cut the motherboard tray? I want to do this and looks like I'll cut same location of holes like you have and finish it off with some black blow hole trim.

Is the Sleeving kit enough to sleeve most wires and would you recommend it? I've been in contact with Nils also and it does look superb.

Would you be able to send me anymore photos of you Sleeving and give me some tips? The only one I'm a bit nervous about doing is the ATX24 as I'm also going to braid them individually. I have the sunbeam PSU mod kit but I've heard it's pretty easy to snap the tool when doing the ATX24.

Nils is trying to get me black screws for the case too but if he can't what would you recommend I do? Spray them?

Hope you can help mate,

Again, really like your system... with the best case in the world.:D

What did you use to cut the motherboard tray?
I used a good ole dremel for the cutting. Works very well, although the mobo tray is very tough, be prepared to use up quite a few blades.

I used black grommets in the holes I cut and square black blowhole trim for the area for the ATX cable.

The sleeving kit is easily enough for a full PSU.
I sleeved my entired PSU and all modular cables bar 1 molex and 1 sata power, since I won't be using them.

I'd highly recommend the MDPC-X sleeving, simply the best black sleeving out there.

Don't be nervous m8, it's not that hard. Also the sunbeam kit is pretty useless.

I used a good ole staple, just straigthen it then bend it at the middle and you've the perfect tool.

When doing the sleeving, do one or two at a time that way you can avoid getting confused and putting the wires at the wrong places.
Nils is trying to get me black screws for the case too but if he can't what would you recommend I do? Spray them?

I sprayed all my normal silver M3 screws, works really well. Just use very thing coats and leave to dry for an hour between each.
I did the same with my chassis internals.

I hope helps abit, sadly I cannot get any pictures for you yet since I'm back at Uni.

I will try and get some for you this weekend.

Thank you for the compliments, hopefully my last package will arrive within a week or two.
Seems the couriers lost the bloody thing so my entire build is on hold till they send me a new one.

It's an amazing block! Strangely all full cover blocks perform really the same.

If you're going to plate your block be carefull, from the heat it could warp and that'll just ruin it.

The reason I got the Koolance is for looks and the lack of an acrylic top, I hate those. They crack to easily and the EK's don't have standoffs, increasing the chances of warping the card.

Same reason I dumped the EK Supreme for the Koolance 350.

I use them to test the system on air.

Not much point going through the hassle to water-cool if something was DOA.

Also good to check everything.
Specially since my Actual card hasn't arrived yet.

They're also good for benching the CPU, as you don't really need a fancy graphics card to do that.

Not much of an update but Roey, wanted to see how I sprayed my screws.

I needed more anyway and decided to do some PCI brackets too :)

Just getting started.
