when its complete is your pc u have now going inside

One of them is. Its going to house my download/AD Domain server. Its basically a p3 800, 512mb ram, 80gb hdd, onboard sound and graphics and 2 x NICs. The reason why the specs are so low is because they don't need to be good for the job its doing, it saves me money and also allows me to run it nearly passive which means less noise.

That part where the ear would be looks like a spindle type thing from a harddrive with the platters removed.

Be cool if you get it to look like that :)

It looks slightly morbid to me atm (prob cos it's in bits and unfinished)

Im planning to attach some sort of metal plate inside the side of the head. Im then going to attach all sorts of mechanical looking things to it to hopefully make it look similar to the pic. I might have to use some epoxy putty to build bits up as well.

I know what you mean about it looking morbid and dead, but as you say, I think thats because its unpainted and still has no eyes. Once shes painted and ive figured out how to make human looking eyes it shouldn't look as dead.

Nice design, thanks. But I highly doubt there is space in the head or neck for any of that. I still have no updates btw. I think im going to take a bit of a break from the whole thing. Ive been quite ill recently so ive not had the energy to work on it. Ive also been busy annoying the pope in Medieval total war. :)

Well none of the cogs or anything need to be of any significant size, they could be as small as ten pence pieces :) Its the number of teeth on the cogs that matters.

So uh.... you're spanking a bishop? I mean... pope. of course. :o

In the head, something the size of 10p is big. The tolerances up there are in mm. And lol, nope im not spanking the pope, just annoying the hell out of him by killing the Danish.

Cheers. I was actually going to bump this thread to stop it from being pruned. Yeah im feeling better thanks. Still not going to do any more work for a while though as its far to cold in the garage now. Its more the season for drinking, eating and playing medieval. :) But don't worry, i'll get back to it eventually.

No really too busy, but im putting the whole thing on the back burner at the moment tbh, as its too cold to do the work that I need.

lets make a effort to spam him on MSN whenever he's online to do more work on the case!

 You'll just get blocked if you try that though. M!!cook is hopefully going to send me some cameras for the eyes soon. This will be a job that i can do in the warmth of my room, so you might see a tiny bit of progress in the not too distant future. Oh, and thank you all very much... the thread has had over 40,000 views! Im greatly humbled by your support everyone. :)

Nope. Still too cold to do any work in the garage. M!!cook is hopefully sending my a cam to finish off the eyes. When I get that, I can can do a bit of work, as I can do that inside. But until then, im afraid there is no progress.

yea stop messing around in XS and get finished on the project :p

Yeah yeah, will do. Just trying to finish off my main rig at the moment. Its giving me some damn grief though. Ive got far too much stuff in this pc, even for a V2000 :(

I know, I know. Hopefully won't be too long until I get back to it now. But as I say, I want to finish my other main rig first. Until my main rig(Which has all my stuff on, and is what I use day to day) is fully working, i can't relax and play around with project android.

p.s. cant wait to see the finished product.

Hehe, something like that. Need to finsih this other rig first anyway. I need to make a shrod to fit the rad properly. Then finish the bay cover and fit it. Then make the windowed sidepanel and finish everything off. Then its back to this project. :)
