The tar seems to be working at the moment but thanks for the reply :)

Couple more pics, got the front sheet which is going to be the intake prepared for painting, I put some trim on there to see how symetrical it looks:

probably would have helped if I took a photo showing the symetary

How it looks with the fan:

Project is going to be a bit slow until friday, need to get some car body filler but can't until payday. Still, if there's a sunny day this week i'll start to do some more painting.

Thanks mishima :)

Next couple of things to do include:

-Sanding the frame
-Completing the mesh structure of the plastic front.
-Painting the side panel + mesh to see how that will look.
-Completing the exhaust, going to have it look like this:

How many coats of primer do people use? I've just done the second for the side panel and it looks like it is probably done (1 coat up-to-down, 1 coat left-to-right).

I guess i better be careful with you being a body builder :) I dont mean to sound too critical, but your circular cutouts are not very even, maybe you should invest in a holesaw, its easy to get perfect circle cutouts with them

I'll put it together with the acrylic tommorow to see how it will look. Then i'll laquer it ;)

Sorry for being picky lol, I just thought it was quite strange! Hopefully that rubber bit will hide it nicely enough. It does look good with the mesh though.

Another negative comment, which probably wouldn't affect you, but wont having mesh on that side make your PC sound a lot noisier or does that not bother you?

As soon as I pop my side off the gfx fan sounds so much louder, even when I place the side not quite on it still reduces the noise a lot!

Not at all, sometimes I need a kick up the arse! :p ;)

About the mesh, do you mean it will be louder because it will resonate? I'm trying the keep noise to a miniumum (the gfx I've chose is heatpipe cooled).

I think that he means it will be louder simply because in theory there are a lot of holes for the sound to escape from. Normally with a solid side it slighty deadens the sound. If internal case isnt too noisy you prob wont notice it.
