Project Cars 2 is en route :D

Did some online racing last night. It was Brands Hatch GP in the Renault Clio's. I have to say the etiquette was absolutely spot on. Really really enjoyed it.

Online racing in most circumstances is a lot better than PC1

That said, some knob decided to push me into the armco heading down towards eau rouge and actually broke my suspension (didn't realise you could do this, wheel was pushed up into the arch, looked quality mind) and I lost 20 points so there are still the moronic drivers out there.

I know mistakes happen, it's racing but when you see someone over taking you and you just move across, grinds my gears. Hopefully after a few more weeks/months the licence system will level out. They should have really started the number lower IMO and you'd have to work your way up.

I really think tyre selection - pre race/session should be taken outside of the tuning section.

It's really annoying having to save a setup after changing a set of tyres.

Do you guys practise with the racing line assist indicator on? i found it useful for learning a track and car combo

My advice would be turn the line off and drive the tracks slowly in a private game to get to know them. I used the line with PC1 and not only did my mates slate me for it but you do become almost reliant on the line telling you where to go etc.

You'd be better off jumping in the deep end, following other cars, seeing where they brake and where their line is, etc.

No, I do this:

I'm focusing on getting my safety rating up then I'll worry about points. Even trying hard to avoid people I still get smashed in to by morons driving past their limit.

But you know what they say, to finish first, you first have to finish.

I didn't get back until late last night, but should be back earlier tonight. So if people want to get a couple of races in...

Anyone who is using a wheel make absolutely sure you are using the Jack Spades FFB files.

The difference in game feel is night and day!! It's absolutely incredible.

Once you download them and rename the one you want to use, don't forget to change your FFB input to Custom instead of RAW.

Exactly that^^^ As you say, once you use the line you stop learning the track and just rely on it.

I'm having a huge problem with lift off oversteer in that car. I find the first corner especially difficult to take.

FWD are meant to be like this. You need the rear to come around to help you turn into the corner otherwise the front will just under steer. Brake hard into the corer, let the rear come around, turn into the slide and plant your foot on the throttle. The front wheels will grab and pull the car straight.

If the rear goes too far, drop a gear and light up the front wheels. The spinning wheels will again pull the front straight eg. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QuTNmVoUR5E

Set the rear pressures as low as they can go and max out the rear camber too to try and help get heat into the rear tyres. Look at softening the rear springs slightly as well. I found them too hard on the touring cars (rear is empty, all the weight is at the front)

Where is the link to those, and is there a guide on how to install?
