maybe they thought pc sales would be small so not worth a big effort. which is the case really. only 6 percent of pcars sales were on pc. so its a very small player base.

In this case the developer has categorically stated that they received no money from Nvidia. Also that sales figure is only for retail copies, it does not cover copies sold on digital platforms such as Steam.

Wow.

So the last time I posted in this thread I was getting weird results. FRAPs wasn't working properly and was stuck at 24 FPS no matter what.

I realised shortly after that something was amiss with my PC. In the end it turned out the motherboard was faulty, and was clocking my 3970x down to 1.1ghz.

I swapped it out with my Gigabyte X79 UD3 and my trust 8 core 2ghz Ivybridge Xeon and then reinstalled the game. Oddly FRAPs now works perfectly and at max settings (grass the lot) and FXAA (no need for MSAA at this res) I am getting an absolutely solid, jammed on 60 FPS (Gsync on).

Very happy ! it looks superb too. Had a moment earlier where the sun shines in your face and you can't see where you're going which was very realistic !

I'm in the go karts atm, tons of fun whipping them around the track

Rain does bring my Titan X crashing down in frames at 1440P, but looks so damned good and is still butter smooth, I don't care

Not as well as it could until AMD bother doing a driver for it.

We do not favor anyone, we work closely with both. And there have been performance improvements lately for both sides, we even got to the point were we had to remove an optimization because it wouldnt work with AMD cards, "penalizing" nvidia users.

Go read a bit more about AMD drivers optimization and how they work, consult info on what are the similarities between developing on PC and Next-Gen consoles, you'll see it's nothing like you imagine and much different.

It's not a theory it's a fact, check Tomb Raider, Battlefield 4 (non-Mantle), Bioshock Infinity FCAT results and see for yourself. All these games are AMD Evolved (Optimized for AMD) and even so they get poorer results. So please don't come here and accuse us of being biased.
