Project: Clean

Hi

Just going to be working on a new Gaming Rig. And try and make it look as clean as possible

The whole case will have a white/blue theme to it.

This is my first proper project and it might work and it might end up looking VILE!

Spec

Case: Lian LI PC-A71B (Will be powder coated white (inside/outside)
Side Pannel: W-75BT
Top Pannel: T-713B
CPU: Core I7 920 DO Stepping
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5
Ram: Patriot Viper 6GB
Graphics Card: ATI 5870
Sound Card: ASUS Xonar D2X
Power Supply: Enermax Revolution 1K
Hard Drive: Intel 160GB 25x-m SSD
Cooling: CPU: Heatkiller 3.0 LT White
All Fans in case will be Enermax Clusters

Case and Side Pannel has arrived

I Will need order the Top Pannel, DVD rewriter and Fan Controller before I send it off to the Powder Coater

Well, I am still debating, if i should have a whole white case and white tubing =/

I am going for Enermax Clusters so white LED fans.

I am worried that it will look tacky, but hopefully it will be fine

I just ordered the top pannel and some a white braid kit (includes a lot of different sizes of braid, heatshrinks and some tools)

. I'll check my account tonight and see if i can order 8 120mm Enermax Clusters
I'll also need a DVD rewriter. I can then send the case off to be powder coated.

I need a minimal looking controller, as it will be sprayed white.

So far I quite like the Scythe Kaze Master Ace but I will need 2, as it only takes 4 Fans.

Ok the top pannel has arrived for the 120.3 rad

, just need a DVD drive and Fan controller and it can go off get powder coated

Also my white braid has arrived, but i still got no stuff to braid

, the inside will have blue hardware

ARGH

bit of a let down guys, but i don't think i can get the case picked up to be powder coated before I go on holidays like planned.

This will need to wait another week now

. I am very upset about this but oh well

Anyway

the mobo is being ordered on Tuesday, maybe with some other parts

I am still thinking about the HDD issue. 4 x Raptors in raid 0 or 2 x SDD in raid 0.

*Edit* instead of the DVD drive being powder coated, I will go for one of stealth bezels

It has been decided to only have a single loop (for now) to cool CPU, MOSFET, NB and GPU.

If temps get stupied I will add a second loop

I am on Holiday at the moment so no updates sorry

Not much of an update but the Enermax Revolution has been ordered

and once received, I will book a day of work so the case can be picked up and be powdercoated

The PSU has arrived, I will take a piccy later and I can start braiding!

But by the looks and amount of cables i got with the PSU, I will need A LOT more braid

Sorry guys, not much of an update, but I finally had some spare money to send the case of for powder coating (and PSU) I got a nice idea for the PSU but you lot will have to wait

Ordering some more braid at the end of this week, some better and nicer braid

Ok finally got an E-mail back from the Powder Coater. Here is a quick preview of the case in white.

I should have it back in the next week.

I am sorry for the lack of updates but instead of my money going on this build, I got a mortgage instead so this will take a long time to finnish
