no the case looks great with a silver edge...........the dodgy area is the window..........that perspex scratches so easily, even a cloth will scratch it...

without it, it's just another black box

domthecondom, correct case model in sig to PC-A71. PC71 is entirely different old model discontinued many years ago.

do it all white...fan grills/ interior trim black or blue...but dont mix the colour on the actual case panels, or it'll look a bit naff

I am doing the whole thing white, even power supply i guess , the inside will have blue hardware

yes i guessed you were..... there's another case here exactly the same, looks really good....

my mod is only very small...i'm targetting cooling only... but i keep toying with different colour schemes in my mind..............if i had more money i'd go for it

ARGH bit of a let down guys, but i don't think i can get the case picked up to be powder coated before I go on holidays like planned.

This will need to wait another week now . I am very upset about this but oh well

Anyway the mobo is being ordered on Tuesday, maybe with some other parts

I am still thinking about the HDD issue. 4 x Raptors in raid 0 or 2 x SDD in raid 0.

*Edit* instead of the DVD drive being powder coated, I will go for one of stealth bezels

Mate of mine has 4x 150gb Velociraptors in raid0 - was getting about 450mb read speeds

However would imagine it being noisy and you will obviously have a lot more response when using 2x SSD's in raid0 (thing will fly )

Regarding the DVD drive, get some matt black paint and spray the casing so viewing the inside of the case you will see it black, stealth bezel works a treat on the front though

Well I heard that SSD's lose speeds over time?!?!?!? so i am still debaiting

they can but TRIM support is there but not in Raid yet, that will be driver specific i believe and released shortly - someone correct me if im wrong

Yeah Windows 7 has the software in built, no need to touch anything but for Win XP and Vista as far as I know you have to do it yourself.

It has been decided to only have a single loop (for now) to cool CPU, MOSFET, NB and GPU.

If temps get stupied I will add a second loop

I am on Holiday at the moment so no updates sorry

Not much of an update but the Enermax Revolution has been ordered and once received, I will book a day of work so the case can be picked up and be powdercoated
