PROBLEM IDENTIFIED!!!!

Thanks to Shinester184 lending me his 5850 I have found that the motherboard in fact is fully functioning and the problem was my 5850. Here is a picture of his 5850 in my PC. (Don't worry about the fact that there is a waterblock and no water lol. We only ran it for a few seconds :D)

You will also have access to the members market (a way of buying and selling you gear to other forum members :D). Also, you will get free shipping from OCUK store when you reach 3 months of being signed up.

Let's keep this thread on topic though. Create another if u wanna talk about this :D

Tiny update:

I have just bought a couple of Noiseblocker BlackSilentPro PK3 140mm Fans as they are ridiculously good spec, have been reviewed well and have a good static pressure which will be very beneficial for my densely packed fins. I will run them through my fan controller though so they don't burst my ear drums XD

O.k. guys, I really want something to do in the mean time (PC wise) so I am thinking of braiding my 24 pin mobo cable, 8 pin CPU cable and my two GPU cables with 50/50 black and blue sleeving. I will also use any extra sleeving on fan cables+front panel cables etc. What do you think?

I have started braiding, but the sleeving isn't great quality. I really bought it just as something to do while I wait for the 5850 so it is for filling that purpose but it is a little see through with colourful cables behind. I suppose you get what you pay for and to be honest I didn't pay a lot :p . It will do for now but I think in a few months time when I actually get this PC working and some more money I may re-braid with some more expensive stuff.

Will put some pictures up tomorrow.

Braiding is something I am thinking of doing in my current build (as the wiring looks awful). Any advice on where to get decent braiding (or what to look out for)? And what tools are you using to get the plugs off?
Well, to get the plugs off I used two paper clips. Took a while to get the hang of it and although everyone on the internet says don't pull hard a couple of my pins only came out with a slightly harder pull. I have sent you a trust message.

Thanks for the quick response.

Paperclips!! Do you have a link on how to do that???

What I am looking for is to to group runs of cables together. I thought of doing this within a single braid. Your thoughts?
Sorry I meant staples lol. Well, you have to straighten two staples out with pliers and then insert them into the pin hole, either side of the metal pin. Push them all the way down while pushing the cable up, and then once they are all the way down pull on the cable and it should come out.

Update: Cable sleeving :D

I used 2 staples to release the pins

A little delivery arrived for me :D

The fans came with loads of rubber to reduce vibration which unfortunately I won't be able to use as my radiator screws aren't long enough and there isn't enough clearance between the fans and the motherboard. However, they did come with pre-sleaved cables which was nice to see (with 2 sizes available )

Also, I found out my blue sleeving is UV reactive but I won't be installing UV cathodes so not really a feature I will use ;).

Cable braiding mess.

I used a hair dryer to shrink the heat shrink.

Fans installed.

I received this in the post. Ugly hey?

And here are the finished cables. I haven't taken a picture of the CPU 8 pin power extension (even though I braided it as well) as I had to install it before I installed the fans. Also, ignore the fact that the ends of the 24 pin mobo cable aren't completely covered. I accidentally cut my sleeving a little short but it will be behind the mobo tray so you won't see it.

Hope my 5850 comes quick :(

Also, I bought a 60 degree fitting to come out of the res as my 90 degree one was too sharper angle and a bit dodgy leak wise.

Hopefully I will have the rest soon :D
