Project: Danger

c'mon then get ya cam out

Morning P, blimey that was a long day got some bits n pieces that might come in usefull towards your build not sure what stage your at but you know where to find me. I did get the cam out eventually, constructive criticism is allways welcome am eager to learn stuff so you dont have to "dance" around if somethings wrong then i would welcome the input :D

You could get the Koolance with two Laing DDC pumps instead. Looks the same, just have to sell the D5 and get the DDC's instead :)

Also if you are going to try for 4 watercooled cards (silly me even thinking you weren't) my experience is that you might have trouble fitting them in if you have EK blocks, they are a bit fat.

Evening Mr Biffa sah :)

Am going to hang fire for the other res as i have 2 varios sat here waiting for attention and got my mind set on that one. I keep bobbing about looking at different cards but i still have not decided its getting silly now so have set myself a deadline of friday to order.
Yeah am with you on the ek thing you had a load of bother with weebeastie not quite enough space, sorted will go parallel :D
Of course you could influence my gpu purchase by just giving me the contents of beastie and getting yourself ohh i dunno a 260 or something .... legs it......:D

Fair enough the gpu's i have at present spend most of tehre time asleep and am yet to really push the new setup but am well pleased with cpu at 100 per cent load :D
Might sit and edge it to 4Mhz tonight without boiling water .

If it was me, I'd be going for the GTX570 for what you want it does the business, cost wise its on par with or better than its peers, performance wise it delivers the goods, and most importantly there are blocks available for it. In fact I have no idea why you sold yours in the first place

The only other thing you could do is go completely mental and get 4 GTX590's but you would probably need 2 power supplies to do it.

Morning Mr Biffa sah, yeah am just thinking the same "why did i get rid" but i fancied a change and just wanted to get as much moolah together as i could.
Dual power supply i have but £600 a pop for the 590 mmm i dunno i obviously need to have a good think before i order friday your absolutely right though on the 570 being good bang per buck hmmmm.
Cheers :)

Have you had any luck cutting the bottom of the case yet m teabag?
I started on mine the other day and i have a feeling i need an angle grinder lol

Watch that kink between the cpu and mobo block.

Aye kept my beedy eye on it, not developed into anything untoward :)

Finally can start making some progress .... on its way from germany as i type hopefully be here the end of next week, while everywhere is still out of stock i got one muhahahaaaaaa :D:D:D

Be good to say goodbye to what has started to resemble a rats nest of tubing

Yeah the cost is a bit prohibitive but when you think of the total spent on a decent setup it pails in comparison. I did look at the ek dual res but somehow the koolance looks a bit more "substantial" and has quite a few good reviews.

Am only a bit cheesed off that i cannot afford to do the socket 2011 build but small steps :)
