Project: Fallen Angel

Wish you all the best with that build Mr w3bbo sah, great choice of case and parts i have to say...subscribed :D
Lian Li PC-P80B Armorsuit Aluminium Super Tower Case am guessing the sneek peek of the case is because theres something about it not quite to your liking that you want to correct?

Truth be told im loving it, just not sure about the internals. Do I leave plain, anodise/spray black or do I do a carbon fibre job? You are correct tho, pc-p80 armorsuit;)

Oops, looks like you need to rehost the project image :(

That aside though, looking forward to this, I really enjoy your project logs :)

I plan on having some LEDs behind the motherboard so I dunno if I would be better leaving the alu finish but polish it as this would reflect light better? Carbon fibre does look good in daylight though. Still undecided with the window. Mesh or black Perspex. Hmmmm decisions decisions!

Yeah I'm gonna give air-cooling a whirl but have the insurance in a case that can take water at a later date if needs be. I don't plan on drilling any extra holes as cable management is leagues ahead of the mm case I had so if I can do it in that, this will be a doddle!

Gonna polish the mobo tray first and if it's not right I'll either get it powdered or carbon vinyl. We'll see how it goes:).

Not recommended, but i think I know what you mean.

:o
Yeah, missed out a word :p

W3bbo, when your build gets to that stage, would it be possible to take a couple of pics just to show how you've routed cables? I hope it's not too much to ask. But the way I've done it is to route most of the cables round the backside of the motherboard tray. Only problem is that because there's a partition between the mobo tray and the drive bays, you can see all the cables that are being routed. Thanks :)

Look forward to seeing how this progresess w3bbo, currently using very high end air cooling in my own setup, (super mega), always fancied trying watercooling, cpu first, due to running sli gpus at the minute it would be a lot of hassle, my case is big enough for a triple rad and a dual if need be, i know a little about watercooling, but the parts are the expensive part.

Yeah it can be expensive. I know I'll miss the temps and noise reduction I got with water but it is a total pita changing hardware and has prevented me from upgrading in the past because of the cost of changing waterblocks (and the hassle!).

Looking forward to a more problem free build without the hassle of draining/bleeding everytime I want to upgrade parts :).

It's been some time since I built an aircooled build in a 'normal' case so there could well be some headscratching going on but I'll be sure to post up some pics showing progress. I'm just waiting on a few orders before I can really do anything else.

Think I've decided on a part Carbon fibre (vinyl), part black interior. Seen a 700D in the logs section that looks lush and I think it will compliment my build nicely. We shall see.
