PROJECT: FLAME ORANGE

Lmao. Indeed. FLAME ORANGE? More like half ass'd pastel orange, according to your phone.

Liking this so much more now I've seen the actual colour :D

Well I have spoken to DemciFlex and they are making me some custom dust filters for this, looking forward to receiving them next week :)

Noiseblocker have kindly agreed to supply me with 20 fans which I intend to paint orange and laquer. The fan of choice is the B12-3.

I am more than aware of how computer fans work.

just find it a little odd that you aren't championing the brand you are supposed to represent.

I'm not here to give a biased opinion about a personal build I'm doing. I have certain requirements etc, for example my case choice is not Antec, but I hold my hands up and say that Antec don't have a case which fits my requirements for this specialised project.

Same with the fans - I ended up breaking 3 fans trying to remove the fins from them in order to paint them. And lets be honest how many people actually paint fan blades? A small specialised amount only.

I'm happy to admit that our fans are good, but not suitable for my needs on this occasion.

The PSU is Antec as that 100% suits my needs to a tee. OEM is Delta and they are the best of the best in OEMs. There is a reason 8pack uses Antec PSU's to smash all his world records :)

Delivery has just arrived.

Fans are going to be used as general chassis fans. Orange LEDs FTW! 2 in the front, two at the rear :)

Just came across this thread, Beautiful case and a very nice build so far.

For future reference when spraying, use some Scotchbrite to flatten the paint down on all surfaces prior to the finish coat, be it Lacquer/Glaze. This helps to give you a better finish, in terms of removing imperfections and noticeably Oranagepeel.
It`s a little extra work, but well worth the effort.
