I cant wait to get this into my system so i can see it move around more, you can watch the swirls/patterns for aaaaages they are mesmerising!

NSB10lGl.jpg

So,

AXy6c4Pl.png.jpg

If you dont know what mayhems coolant is now, then you all need a good slap! over the last few years, they have taken the watercooling market by storm making better and better products each time!

as you can tell, i am somewhat a fan! you should be too!!!!

check them out here

http://www.mayhems.co.uk/

You planning on sticking with this coolant in the long term or is this just short term for show?

nah, this will just be short term, il probably run pastel for long term, or even buy some white/orange tubing and run X1

Wow amazing colour, it's all coming together nicely by the looks of things.

yeah! Ive only got today to get it so its actually working. i think im going to have to sacrifice some of the looks for it to run (i still havnt braided any cables etc) but as long as i can actually turn it on il be happy!!

That is some stunning coolant, looking forward to seeing this completed.

Yeah, it honestly looks better in the flesh :D i hope to have it filled tonight!

That coolant looks good enough to drink! Just add a straw and cocktail umbrella!

SLURP! i was stiring it with a straw so that i could see the swirls, i did wonder what a sip would taste like!

Well.... We have failed it seems.

We have literally spent hours trying to get little bits done.

Leak test went okish (only one or 2 fittings that needed tightening a little more)

The touch screen we haven't managed to get working properly, everything works indevidualy but my pi just hasn't got enough juice to run it.

My new bitfenix fan controller decided to go pop too! I have no idea if I have the receipt kicking around for that still or not either. I'm not too happy about that as seen as I'd done all the cable work for it and it worked fine on the first test!

Aaah well. Looks like I bit off more than I could chew this time. I'll have to just throw something together now with it so I can turn it on and have it as just a 'work in progress' type build.

yeah, im going to take the whole lot to i-series with me, i was gonna just bang some tubing on another build i have, but that would be cheating.

id rather have this 1/2 built but running there. i will just cover it up to stop people kicking the wires etc haha.

this is how im taking it to LAN (no coolant in it, no HDD'S no cable management etc etc.
we did manage to get into bios last night, so hopefully everything should be ok once its all plugged in correctly :)

aaaaaah, thanks muchly guys!

i will have an update soon, im just waiting on sponsors at the moment (one of which is a new one and i havnt even announced yet, but its a goodie!!!!)

mumihp i used plastidip for my motherboard then just some generic spray paint for everything else.

the touch screen i sourced from a friend of mine who managed to get hold of a few of them. He works in the industry and did me a good deal :) No real tutorials for it i dont think as there are loads of different ways to do it i believe.

Long time no update!!!

well, first of all, I51 was amazing. Many drinks were had (my favorite drinking partners being : coolmeister (always a pleasure), TinyTomLogan (first time drinking with him tbh, and a rather nice gent!), Andy from eteknix (again, another first, a good bloke!), the parvum boys (awesome boys!)
and of course some of the OCUK crowd (Rich, Steve, Mark. a pleasure to see you all again, not so much you Andy... im still sore ;) )

Now you might think that all i did was drink there?! YOU ARE WRONG!!! i fixed up my computer so it was usable, and i also spoke to quite a few people in the industry that want to work with me on future builds!!!!

One of these is going to be sponsoring H2Orange, i dont mind telling you, im very excited. I wont say who yet, but its a VERY big company, who specialise im memory and SSD's!!!

Also, ive gained a few builds to do from i51 also!!! One for a professional gaming team!!!!

but less of the chat, heres what i did today. Its only a small update, with one or two pics but here goes!

I started with a table looking rather like this:

AAj75qQl.jpg

After around 8 or 9 hours, i had this:

ryUvZTVl.jpg

Basically, with having the 3 GPU's in my system, there were loads of wires and it was annoying me. Out of everything that wasnt ready at LAN, this was probably the biggest thing that stuck out to me.
so now, each GPU will have this:

55opusYl.jpg

Its 1 6pin converting into 2 6pins. Once i get the sleeving through, of course they will look a lot better and all the soldering will be insulated.

once done, il be using orange connectors like so:

rBGnPQNl.jpg

I need to order some more of these though, as the 10 i already have all seem to be a blooming different shade of orange =(

Anyways, thats all for me for a little while. An announcment will be made soon, informing you of my new sponsor, and il also be giving away 2 XSPC t-shirts too!!!

Cheers!

cheers gentlemens! ive just seen the product that im hoping to get from my new sponsors actually in stores now!!! so hopefully, if everything goes ahead as planned (the planning phase was over a fair few beers so i cant remember 100% of it ;) ) i should have some nice new bits to show you SOON!

t0wcUEDl.jpg

Well today was a good day!!!!!!!!!

im proud to announce HyperX to my list of sponsors!

bBdOBux.jpg

Im super excited about this as you can imagine! I would firstly like to start by saying a MASSIVE thank you to Krystian over at HyperX who saw my computer at I51 and was happy to help with the build!!

i wasnt expecting a parcel so soon as i was only asked for my address a day or two ago, but this afternoon there was a knock at the door and a nice UPS man gave me this:

6ggcqt3l.jpg

I didnt have a clue as to what it was at first... 2 parcels? i hadn't ordered anything and certainly wasnt expecting anything.

the next minute, i saw the word "Kingston" and felt like a kid at Christmas!!!! BEST FEELING EVER!!!

so, i opened them both up and in parcel number 1 was the SSDs i was told i should be receiving... so why another box?!

well.... THEY SENT ME RAM TOO!!!!

TSbyfV7l.jpg

The SSDs are certainly for this build, the ram, well, that is for something later ;)

These HyperX SSDs are a limited edition white and black version and they look awesome, he selected these for me so that they would match my build better than their standard ones!

and they do! they look awesome.

t6zkcqel.jpg

fGcqqc1l.jpg

6CEs03ul.jpg

hmmm, although they do look a lot whiter than the standard HyperX SSDs, they have a bit too much black on them still!

SO.... TIME TO MOD....

hmmmm, im sure this is an advisory only ....

Vh0xYCul.jpg

aaah, luckily i didnt remove it, so im sure im still covered!

3dnywmfl.jpg

so thats whats inside!?!

QhqFg7el.jpg

hmmm, i wonder if the "X" comes off to make it easier to spray, Yup it does, now this was quite tricky, but the "X" is made out of metal which did make me a bit more confident.

sczWPg0l.jpg

the glue thats used is very good, took me a while to get the "X" off.

ygKgxkml.jpg

some rubbing alcohol and they looked like this:

uQiiklXl.jpg

time to mask off the area i dont want spraying!

uUYQyOdl.jpg

elevated the SSDs so that i could do the edges as well as the top!

pfgsxJ9l.jpg

and started to spray!

The undercoat first...

RcJ64FXl.jpg

Then THE ORANGE!!!

E7ILmd7l.jpg

so... the final pics:

wHZYHKel.jpg

7Ek74tPl.jpg

xDfgvv8l.jpg

They arent 100% perfect, so i might actually put another coat on these, but i do really like them!

thanks again to HyperX for these, i cant wait to get them in my system!! Also, keep an eye out for my posts using the White HyperX Fury ram soon!!!

They look fine from here

Haha, there are just a few very small blemishes that i noticed when taking the photo's (i only noticed after the pictures were on my screen mind)

oooooOOOOooo
Looks good

Thank you sir!

Great job on the ssd's and sponsor.
The orange white looks sooooooo good on those drives.

I think they should do a special edition of them called "HyperX you've been tango'd!"

Awesome :)
I hope you didn't void that warranty though.
And you are right, the price for these is ridiculous.
I am planning to get 1 or 2 of the 240gb ssd's.

aaah warranty smarranty, who needs a warranty!! yup, i think they are gorgeous looking drives, even before i raped them with orange!

No, no. They are trust us! That is perfect looking.

thank you very much! once they are mounted the imperfections wont be seen by the looks of it, so i think i will leave them as they are after all!

as soon as I saw the warranty void sticker being violated I knew they we going to be orange.

haha, you know me mate! i bet im OCUKs wet dream. i buy loads of products from you... i dont think i have a warranty left on any of it :D

Beautiful!

Thank your sire!!
Looks good mate, I know what you mean about imperfections. Like my Sli bridge up close it looks not so good but I guess we are too pernickity !
Tbh having looked at them, they certainly aren't as bad as I thought. It looked like there was a patch where it wasn't covered properly but it seems it might have been lighting I had a look at re doing the area last night and couldn't find it so I'm a lot more happy with them now!

Well, i can honestly say, today im very happy!!!

Ive been nominated on Bit-Tech for mod of the month (and im currently winning!!!!!!)

8rq6IZw.png

i was going to do a bit of a give-away anyway, but now now i definitely am, il probably do it after the voting finishes if i come first, i think i might feel rather generous lol

Il have to see what i can get hold of, but i know i have a few XSPC T-shirts here , i think i have a game or two around here somewhere too which il give away!

If you are a member over at bit-tech, please do place a vote for your favorite computer here:

http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=276605

(hopefully it will be mine haha :D)

Thanks!

I registered over there and voted for you also, nice one you are streets ahead atm. :D

Good luck
Thanks!!

It's getting closer now!!! I'm only 2 votes ahead. Hopefully I can do an update this weekend to try and get some more interest I'd be happy with first or second tbh, I just want the 8 fans, I'm not even that fussed about the psu.

Out of interest, what effect will the paint on the mobo have on the system long term?
Long term it shouldnt make any real difference. I guess it doesn't transfer heat as well as usual, but I'd imagine that if anything was to go wrong it would have happened already. I've been using it for a while now.

an update!! wooohooo!

Well, with my computer being nominated for mod of the month over at bit-tech (vote for me here please!!! ) i thought id best actually do some modding!

A massive thanks to

CY2xwXs.png

for sponsoring the sleeving for this build! For those who dont know, E22 is in partnership with Lurto0 customs who sells teleios sleeving.

i wanted teleios sleeving.
there is no orange teleios sleeving.
lets mod some sleeving!!

So, this is half of the sleeving i was sent from E22.Biz i have more white too... i want this orange though..

Ti7QCKal.jpg

This is where Stuart from Kemtex.co.uk came in. I emailed Stuart a few times as id seen somebody dye sleeving before, but every attempt i tried had failed.

Stuart is a expert in dyes and after a few emails, i rang him. He was very interested in what i was doing and actually told me that the stuff i was ordering was far beyond my needs and he turned down a £25+ order, in the end all i needed was this

GCOGquBl.jpg

and he actually supplied it to me for free as he was interested in whether it would work or not.

So, i got a pan of hot water and put it on the hob (notice the stains, this wasnt my first attempt lol)

sCOErDXl.jpg

Then added around half of the 25g bag of dye.

PK0umdpl.jpg

I gave it a stir (do you think i could be a hand model?) (Parvum, valkia, anderp.... no taking the mick -.- )

GESssLSl.jpg

Grabbed the sleeving and started to put it in!

7emhf9gl.jpg

o3ID91Tl.jpg

Try and get all the sleeving underwater, make sure you stir often and also turn it over as much as you can

koA3FTKl.jpg

after around 10 minutes

yj4Y5iGl.jpg

after around 20 minutes

lNl4QLel.jpg

after around 30 minutes

Vn3GQG2l.jpg

the colour the sleeveing is in the pan isnt the same as what you will get in the end, you MUST wash off the dye, this does take a lot of colour away from the sleeving, this is what i got in the end:

A7MlrCcl.jpg

Some nicer shots:

o8ogbHRl.jpg

5K1t25Nl.jpg

4aCmBrkl.jpg

So, once id done this i thought i best actually sleeve something...

24 pin:

f7uhFLJl.jpg

8 pin:

6 pin pci-e to 2 6 pin pci-e

bhEhjAll.jpg

Group photo:

wz1OLBFl.jpg

I have got 2 more of the pci-e sets obviously for my other 2 cards, but i didnt want to over crowd the photos lol.

Once again, a massive thanks to E22.biz and also Kemtex.co.uk If you want sleeving or dye, please give either of them a visit!
