Now the build is finally complete i need to thank some people,

Firstly and most importantly are my fellow PC modders & forum users, without your comments and contribution of ideas the build would never have been as successful as it has.

Next my wife and friends for all the help given, my wife has helped carry, shop, make tea & snacks & provide some pain relief when needed :D

My Friends Ian & Carl have also helped with the heavy lifting & Ian helped provide me with the glass needed for the desk (Big thanks)

And finally my sponsors Lep @ EK water blocks for providing the Watercooling blocks and support throughout the build.

Chris @ Cooler Master (CM Storm) UK, I was already using CM Power Supply & fans, but Chris updated them for the latest and best
along with my CM storm gaming set :D
but best of all hes been great to talk with over the last 3 months & even got me in to the gadget show for a great day out :)

facebook link - still needed updating but will be done soon. nice place to just look at the photos.

Im still working in the Vids for my youtube, will upload in the next week hopefully

This is a ridiculous project! :)
Must be so cool when sitting at it!

I'm stat at it most of the day and i love it :D
its so quiet and calming, the water reflects on the walls and ceiling but wont show very well in the photos :(

at night I have most the LEDs off unless im wanting to see something on my desk or in the shelf's

Have to admit to being a bit sad now it is complete as I will have nothing to look forward to on updates etc, but hell I must not be selfish. My hats off to you. I hope you get as much joy out of using it as I did watching it all take shape. For all that you have been through and are still going through - you are an inspiration to us all.

Mark

Its been harder than i thought so unlike you im glad its over lol
now i will get some time to play BF4 and some other games iv had on hold :)

as i was near the end of this build i had my next build idea in my head so maybe towards the end of the summer i will make a start on it :D
by that time maybe i will have some cash to buy all the materials new from the DIY store.

you need more screens,, work on making a monitor arm with it? :)

I have been waiting 6 months for someone to mention 3 screens, a couple of friends already asked why im not using 3 but your the 1st and only to ask online a very good question.
So the reasons why iv not gone for 3 screens -

I like my 1440p monitor and if i was to spend more money on screen i would be wanting to get a 4K screen rather than 3 smaller lower res screens.

and the main reason is my wife would kick of big time if i was to spend any more cash on my PC lol

my screen is 27", if i was to upgrade at anytime this year i think i would go for a 30"

will all depend on what money I have to spend on the graphic cards and screens, would be nice to have 3x 1440p screens but i would need a lot more GPU power and a better CPU :(

Damn dude thats smexy!

Gratz, desk builds are the best!!

Thanks mate, I messed with cases in the past and loved it but desks are great fun when things go well :D

Now THIS is a project log. What an amazing desk and PC build, seriously stunning.

You have some serious skills, creativity..........and patience by the looks of it :p

What an accomplishment :)

Thanks Cap, I know a bit about PC building and watercooling, but the woodwork and plastics was a 1st for me, i remade most parts of the build 2 or 3 times and each time they improved bit by bit :D
I definitely want to make another at some point in the future, I cant see myself upgrading the MB,CPU & GPU's without giving them a fresh new desk to match :D

Just... WOW !!
I wish I had even a fraction of your vision and ability mate.

WOW!

Thanks SlugForAButt, my abilities have a long way to go before they catch up to my vision though lol

stunning, great project, bet that wasnt cheap to do,and many hours of hard work.:)

The build was a bit hard due to my injury, but the build not including the PC components and tools cost me around £100 because i had everything i needed apart from the wrap & small things like glue & screws :D

Thanks Jimbaw,

Well Mark, I'v had my CPU for over 2 years now so i plan to update it some time in the late summer,
you know that means a new MB and most likely everything will be updated lol.

If and when i do, i want to make a new desk more fitting for my small room, i have no idea what i will do with the desk i just build though?
The wife wont want 2 in the house so it will definitely need to go to a new home or be taken apart :(

I normally keep all my old parts and stick them in a tower for a 2nd PC,
but will let the forum know if and when i get rid of the empty desk.

Have a new desk design idea in my head, when i get chance im going to try some 3D rendering programs and pop the idea on the forum for some feedback before i start the build :)

it would have been great to get feedback from the start of the build, If only i had known about the forums build logs when i started :(
as you will know, i only started posting the build when it was over 50% done.

Yes Mark lol, and I need to sort my shed before i can even start anything else.

Iv just uploaded a build log slideshow to YouTube, im still working in the live video.

Finally done the live vid,

Please let me know what you think on here or YouTube comments, good or bad because i need to learn so i can hopefully improve before any future builds :)

if i do anything more with this build i will post here, but for now its over :(
time to put the desk to some use & start playing some BF4 :D

Heya pal, ive not been on for a while. Im getting back on my project now. I just wanted to say the desk looks insane, 10 out of 10 for effort and perseverance.
A smaller desk could come with all sorts of space issues. Do you think you will make a mini version of the same desk or are you planning something completely different?

Glad to hear your back on it :)
cant wait to see the final build result

I had new plans as i was still building this one, was a bit tempted to restart but wanted a rest lol
i have a good idea what to do next depending on time/health and cash flow.
It will be a bit bigger but should still work well in my small room.

Everyone on here seems to love the enermax white cluster fans and I don't blame you! They look amazing.

i loved the look of the enermax, but after i got them in my desk the LEDs was getting on my nerves, and because they was white plastic in my black/green desk it didn't look rite :(
i went for CM Jetflows without LEDs as they look a lot better in my build and im not stuck with a permanent color theme, also the jets are great at low speed.
still using some 2 year old CM sickle flows for the outer fans, jets are on the RADs

An excellent job! How many man hours do you think it's taken?

hard to say as i've had some time of from the build waiting for china to send parts and health problems, i started the build back in September 2013,
so its taken a little over 7 months, im sure with every correct tool and part needed it could be done within weeks :D
but dont hold me to that lol

Wow. What a computer desk. Looks like so much time and effort has gone into this. Great design

Thanks mate, yes lots of time, cash & pain went in to the build, but all worth it in the end
got me thirsty for more :D

Mine too - I would love to try do one myself!

Do IT!
and when you do IT!, drop me a PM so i don't miss IT! :D

Oh,
i almost took a pic for the forum yesterday of a skip over the RD from me,
it was full of what looks like a old kitchen, Lots of free wood that could be given a new home :D

Only just noticed this thread, can't believe I missed it! Awesome work there, looks fantastic!

When are you going to start accepting orders? :p

I wish i had correct tools and space to do things like this for a living
sadly i dont :(

Well done

Thanks Giraffe

Join the queue Lol :D

Mark

lol
Did you join my facebook page? i think any future plans will be posted on it first as its linked to my personal page and easy to update without filling the forum with half made plans

if and when i do another i will ofc put the build on the forums, if its going ahead for definite :)

Will have to see what happens with my leg & cash flow, but the leg problem is holding me back a lot atm :(

Small update,

As i broke my CM cup the same day i got it, didn't have chance to take a pic on my T holder

i'm also starting work on a 2nd & final desk build, so far its still in design stage & im not sure if it will go ahead yet due to circumstances beyond my control :(

But for the time being i will still continue with designs & planing

If & when i do start ill do a new build log, until then here's a quick pic of what im thinking about building
only the 1st design, so im sure it will change as i progress :)
