That's awesome News.. You're a Designer now.
Drop us some more pics and let us know how it goes.
Awesome mate, this is a cracking little build. I can't wait to see it when you get your new baseplate and the new GPU installed
Sounds really interesting mate!!
Glad they decided to test it out first and get user review/feedback. Make sure you post up plenty of pictures when you're done!
I remember my SLI 680's reaching temps of 95C-98C in that tight space lol
Where did you get the custom backplate done? Looks great!
I can imagine. I tested 7970 crossfire in my case and my was it loud and hot. Totally not possible without reference cards and/or WC
Cold Zero mate
I've had to take it off as I've replaced the 7970 with a 290 and need to remove the HD 7970 from the backplate so I can fit it to my 290. My biggest concern to adding it back is the heat my card pumps out - its nuts.
Well looks class mate was it pricey if i may ask?
I think that bottom might be useful as well if you are planning on adding a G10 to your R9 290 as well?
Dunno whether the tube joint on the rad will be flexible enough to fit in there tho
Anyway, nice build!!!!
Looking sweet, loving that base panel.
A full loop would look insane.
Thanks
Tell me about it, but you'd need to be loaded to buy one. I've really been thinking about this over the weekend and with this new mod, I don't think I need a custom loop. I've got some insane ideas about the loop, like mounting a tube res on the right of the front fans and the pump towards the PCIe brackets, but I don't have the ££ to do it. To be fair, there is less to go wrong with my current setup - if it ain't broken, don't fix it
The 2 fans at the bottom have made a massive difference, 10c less when idle and under load, the fan speed has been, in some cases, almost 25% less which is nuts. Reference cooler barely gets to 55% now
Wow, I wasn't expecting that much. the is incredible considering its just 2 fans.
Is the 290 still noisy at 55%?
10'c difference it temps just by adding in those two fans, that's impressive.
