Project: mit kleinem Formfaktor

Ok, I think I've got what you're going for.
is there 3 rads in the equation? (Top bottom and front)

I'm just thinking that if you have the pump trying to go round 2 loops, they will have different flow restrictions, so you may get greater flow round one and inadequate cooling of the other component.

No - there will be 2 rads, 240 top and 240 front. CPU Block, GPU Block, Tube Res/pump and that's it!

What I'm trying to avoid is the crossing of too many tubes - give me 5 mins and I'll upload my sketch - its pretty poor BTW :o

EDIT - This is what I've got so far - no idea on order though.

Ok,
Well I can't do you a drawing, but it looks to me it'd be best going:
Pump/res->90degree->GPU->CPU-> Top rad-> front rad->res.

Maybe feed the res from the top? (requires internal tube which for EK i think they are the only seller)

Just an Idea though

oh yes, that would be ideal :)

To be honest, I'm not too bothered about feeding from the bottom, it would leave the top of the res free for filling!

Now there's a specific 'in/out' for the CPU block which I can't remember, but for the 'no crossing lines' you could go.

90degree in the left gpu hole(bottom)
out the right GPU hole (top)
in the right CPU hole
out the left to top rad window side port.
out mobotray side to front rad.

I'll stop encroaching on your build now :p

haha - trust me, you're not encroaching as I seriously have no idea on the best way around it!

So this was the res/pump combo I'm looking to use and mount at the front of the case - would it be OK to plug the inlets not being used?

Well it only has 2 inlets, and yes you just plug the unused one.

The top of that res cannot be used as an inlet. It can be a fill port
There's a wee plastic bit that would churn the liquid, it's fine for filling but needs filed down if you were to use the top as a permanent inlet.

ok - I think I'd just use the inlet with a 90deg or something like that.

Would the temp of the fluid from the GPU to the CPU be ok for that way round?

The temperature in a loop will always find a happy medium,
there will be hot spots, but these will be a couple of degrees at most.

The 'hot' liquid from the gpu wont effect the cpu, or vice-versa if you flow the other way.

I did wonder and thanks for clearing it up! Some of this I kind of knew, but I wasn't 100% sure. It doesn't matter how much you read, you'll still miss something!

Here is my final spec list and I'm going to spend a few hours over the next few days trying to design the mounting plate for the pump/res combo.

Got any pics of your build?

With the loop setup i had, i found it was too big to fit in the case, you may have a different experience with it though.

It is a very high quality bit of kit don't get me wrong.

I can see why you had a problem with it. I've measured it and its too big - found an alternative :)

XSPC D5 Vario Pump & XSPC Acrylic Tank Reservoir Value Combo on the MM for £45. I've checked youtube and its beautifully quiet so looking forward to getting it setup after Christmas.
