THIS BUILD LOG GOT SHARED ON THE OCUK FACEBOOK PAGE ON 19/02/2015!!

I'm currently looking for sponsors for this build! Any help will be appreciated & offers are welcome at any point :)

As the title sugests, this is a build log on my latest project, Molten Gold. It's set in an Enthoo Primo Gold Edition & is going to be a long term project, in no hurry to complete so no end date has been set. It'll receive updates in the long run, both small and large, all posted here for you to see.

My plan for this project is simple, make the most elegant, beautiful computer I possibly can! To do that, everything will eventually be water cooled, all cables will be custom made by myself and plenty of modifications will be made along the way. I will have 2 loops, one for cpu and gpu & the other for ram and mobo. Loop one will have clear or golden coolant and loop two will have purple coolant, with both reservoirs mounted side-by-side on the motherboard tray. I plan on extending the side window to the full length of the case and replacing the acrylic with glass and the side panel will be hinged, turning it into a door.
If possible, I'd also like to create and install a removable panel behind the motherboard tray to hide the cables even though they'll be tidy.

Wow you got one up on me, where did you get that LED Strip? I must have one, looks so much better than mine.

Thanks for feeling inspired by my build, really looking forward to yours. The Enthoo Primo is a beautiful case to work with. Enjoy it and yes defo take your time.

Subbed :D

Edit; I just realised does the special edition come with that colour LED's ? Maybe you haven't changed it yourself? Which would mean Phanteks might supply them? (Giddy)

I wish I could give you a reasonable answer, but unfortunately you'll have to spend £200 on the new Primo. Basically, there's two new versions out now & I have the gold version so it has a gold led strip instead of blue. Sorry this doesn't really help, but if I find a golden led strip which matches (or closely matches) this colour, or a work around, I'll let you know!

It's a gorgeous-looking case and definitely on my wish list for an upgrade build I'd like to do in the new year. I'll be following this one with interest.

Hi, the gold version looks great!

How are you watercooling the MoBo?
I've looked around and can't find any MoBo blocks for the Sabertooth. There was talk of one guy custom making them for people, but it died a death as no-one would donate/ lend him a board to take the moulds from.

If there's no blocks for this MoBo then I'll upgrade to one which has WC options. The MoBo will be the last thing to get the WC treatment though so there's still plenty of time for EK (or any other WC companies) to come up with something.

I have a basic led strip taped to the back of my tv to give off a nice back-light effect at night, to make watching tv with the main light off easier on the eyes. Today I had the brainwave to tape it to the inside of my case temporarily to see how it would look when lit up. This was the result (excuse the poor picture quality):

The actual lighting effect I'll settle for will be slightly different to this. This one just goes along the top & slightly into the front of the side panel to light up the small window. The final setup will have the strip(s) go all the way around the large window and also all the way around the small window.

The colour of this led strip is white/blue, so what other colours do you think would look great in this case?

Personally i don't think the white/blue looks that good, i'd go with Colin's suggestion see what that looks like, it might make the gold pop a little more.

Also i think LED's all the way round the window will be a bit too much light, i have an LED strip that runs along the hight of the window and even that can be a little to much sometimes.

With the little window i decided to go with a contrasting colour to the main window (i went with white in the main window and red in the little window) Maybe this is something that you can consider?

Love the look of that case, very quirky and looks to cost more than it actually does, where in suffolk are you buddy ?......wouldn't mind a actual closer look of that case in person if you don't mind :)
