Update time!

I've been busy beevering away on another review, so there isn't that much for me to show you I'm afraid.

It's been an expensive week though - More WC parts, another 5870 and yet more WC parts (in my next update ill have to show you my stock pile.. I must have about 8 radiators :\)

Anyway, for my review Im utilising all the waterblocks I will be using on the final rig, so it's a good time to show you roughly how it's all going to look (Final routing of tubing will be different, and res won't be mounted above mobo).

Got some new pump tops too (smaller than old ones so fit my new floor):

Sprayed part of the mobo block black - Ill also be getting backplates for my GPU's to give it a more stealthy look.

So, what do you think? I can't stop oggling at the EK waterblocks, they're beauty's!

I just need a few more parts (already on order), along with another GPU block and it'll be ready :)

Another update, although only minor - I got a new PSU.

The stock item looks like this:

This simply wouldn't do, so, voiding the warranty, I opened up the PSU and gave it a little re-spray. Here's the results:

I also quite like the braiding they've used on it- quite different:

What do you guys think? Im not sure what to do about the writing on the top. It's not too bad, I reckon I could leave it- what do you think?

You are quite handy with that spray gun :P. How do you go about painting? Sand/Prime/Paint?

Really good build so far, almost tempting me to go for a smaller case instead of the TJ07 I'd been planning.

Wow only just saw the updates on this. That gpu shroud is stunning!! Actually, all the paintjobby stuff is great. Not tempted to WC the gpu then?

Missed this going forward but just had a quick gander through

Very nice work, and nice photography.

Love the backdrop you use, what is it and where'd you get it?

My dad used it for signage - it's just foam board with a gloss white front..

No idea where he got it from though :(

what no mdpc sleeve???!!!! j/k the stock cougar stuff does look pretty nice. good job on the paint

lol, I have 100m of sleeve here, so I may well end up sleeving it, but everyone does that these days...

Apologies once again for the lack of updates. I've been away on holiday then working hard on reviewing, so there isn't too much to see this update. Things are moving forward though, I've bought a stack load of extra hardware - a second 5870 + waterblock and various other smaller bits and pieces.

Anyway, I've started mounting everything up in preparation for the final install (not too far away now).

I'm hoping to have an update soonish, with some properly taken photos in the studio, which will hopefully show all the watercooled components and with any luck the initial install..

Been patiently waiting for an update and to see that panel lit up!!! I'm trying hard not to bug you but I wanna see this!!!

well.... Funny you should say that, as it wouldn't be too hard to get the case out and give it a try....

edit-

There's a picture of it lit above - I don't want to remove the protective layer just yet, so Im afraid you'll have to wait a week or two for some final, lit shots.
