Project: Shiny N Clean

Yeah the fluid looks really good but i think it has staned the tubing as you may see in the photos :( proberly just because that tubing is soo soft :( i will be replacing it with somthing els anyway.

I should has took cent's advice and go all masteleek or whatever :D

Good work fella, your attention to detail is to be commended and I always love to see understated water cooled dual GPUs rigs.

Youre using Tygon R3603 right? XSPC tubing is my preferred brand but I'm not sure they do a transparent one. It has thicker walls though so it doesnt kink as easily. Personally I dont think Tygon is worth the money over some rival brands. Masterkleer is a good value alternative although it doesnt have that polished feel that the Tygon has.

The AX850w doesnt have the high pitched squeal problem that the batch 1 AX1200w has and will easily power your rig.

I'm not a fan of water cooled motherboards as I think the extra tubing makes the case interior look to busy and cluttered. Where tubing is concerned, less is more. It probably wont enhance your overclock anyway.

Cant fault any of your other ideas and if you come up witha solution to the unsightly xfire bridge let us know as I find it detracts from the overall look of my rig too.

The tygon's decent for me because I'm using barbs and clips, so the fact that it's soft doesn't affect me too much. Also, I'll keep an eye out for my mayhem's dye staining anything and report back here :)

Weird thing is, that's how both me and the op funded our builds...

Haha :D Ive been saving for 2 years to be able to do this... my dream :D Worked every day of my summer holidays doing buckshee joinery jobs with my grandpa including bulding a childs play park which only took 4 days and i made £150.

Long story about the gf thing, she though i was cheating on her because I wasnt texting her while doing this bulid because I was so focust :D I ended up telling her to leave me alone because all the constant txt'in got too much :D

Back to the main topic now... :D I have been thinking about getting that dell 24" which paired with the MB blocks will take up all of my funds which I don't want to do because I have to start saving for somthing els :P so i was thinking more on the side of upgrading my X-530's with some Z5500's and getting all the stuff to make my bulid that much more special :D.

When you say dell, do you mean the u24? I've got the 23" version, it's ****ing brilliant, so if you're considering it, I'd recommend it. To be honest, if you're being cautious about spending your funds, then I wouldn't get mb blocks if I were you. They'll only help your overclock a tiny bit, but even then, an extra 100 mhz won't make that much difference anyway. Like yourself, I need to get some decent speakers, but atm I mainly use headset anyway.

Out of interest, do any blocks actually exist for that mobo? I looked around, but couldn't find any :(

yeah EK do the blocks BUT not full cover :( *cry so the nb+sb one is £60 and the MOSFETS are £60 im not getting the blocks because i want that extra overclock its just because there is no airflow at all in the case :(

The NB, SB + mosfets are very hot to touch when on idle and i dont want to blow them when it comes to overclocking, im not sure :(

Hmmm, you might just still be able to stick a 120mm fan on the front, depending on how much the pump blocks it up. Also with a bit of modding you should be able to get a 120mm exhaust fan on the back. Just takes some creativity, and from how you build is looking, you've got it in abundance ;)

What actual temps are you getting on your motherboard at the moment?

Erm :P I don't know :D how do i check my MB temps, in BIOS ? A fan will not fit in the front because of the tubing and I bought that fanless backpanel because i didnt ant any fans :P

Well ive overclocked the CPU to 3.8 GHz just by increasing the BCLK Frequency to 181 :D Been running prime for 10 mins with the case window on (jammed) I put it on max heat one. Temps are 55 C with a 26 C room temp is that ok? Going to go for 4 GHz soon but when I touch the NB with the back of my hand its still hot :-S.
