You going to watercool that hovis? Or air cool, I guess you can have the...

*CSI Miami glasses moment*

...Best of both.

Anyway, nice bunch of stuff. Is that "ice white" I can make out on the Mayhems bottle? This is going to look stellar :D

Ice White coolant, 500R in white, white braided cables then completely black MB, block waterblock and completely black GPU.

The only black motherboard I could find is the Gigabyte which is the same price on AMD and Intel so the only difference is the processor. Given that the 2500k was, at the time of purchase, some £80 more than my FX6100 I was able to save enough to go custom water :D

Just dropped the 6950 in with my Q6600 whilst I braid the SATA cables. It's a little bit faster than the 5770 in there at the moment!

Slim 120mm rad mounted up top (I've checked, the mesh top still fits) and a paid of Yate Loons underneath -

They'll be exhaust fans pushing up through the rad, then I've got 2 120mm inlets at the front, 1 200mm inlet on the side and a final 120mm exhaust at the back. Airflow should be good :D

Motherboard's in place and everything's plumbed in, I think I'll fill it up and leave it overnight before transferring the last few bits over from my current rig. The white on the tubes is just condensation on the inside where I heated them up to bend them without kinking.

Getting there now :D

I've got the pump running off my current rig so I can leave it on overnight to leak test without any risk of getting anything wet.

Then tomorrow I can switch the psu to the new case, tighten up the cpu block, drop the GPU and RAM in and off we go :D

Quick update and a crappy phone photo. I got the PSU and all the cables put in last night, just waiting 'till I get home and hoping my thermal gloop's turned up so I can power it on :D

I've got to say that the case is amazing, not only does it look stunning but the cable management options are the best I've ever worked with. Despite being no bigger than my old P182 there's just so much more space inside - it's like a tardis!

I will admit that getting the 8pin from the PSU up to the MB was extremely difficult but I got it in in the end - I could've used an extension but 1) I couldn't afford it and 2) there would have been loads of excess cable to hide away.

39c under full load for 10 mins, stock voltage is only 1.232... Not tried clocking it yet but it's looking like it'll be a beast so far :p

I did a fresh install of windows last night so I'm hoping to get some stock benchmarks up tonight then I can start some 'clocking and see where we get :D

I'm also considering new fans/fan controller as the fan & exhaust fans are much louder than I'd like. And I need to figure out how to shut the pump up... it's silent other than the fact that it vibrates the HDD cage it's sat on :(

I think I'm going to have to... not sure whether to just peel them off or attempt to replace them with something.

Any ideas? :D

Put a label over them, I did some in Illustrator ages ago (I'm sure I can dig out the files if you want them)...

Ignore the fact that's the 850w, as I did them for all the variants at the time ;)...

Marvelous idea, I'll run the 620w one through photoshop when I get home to black and white it :D

Gah!!! Don't do that, it'll look like crap when you resize it!!! Give me a mo and I'll post up a properly done vector version :)

It needs done in Illustrator or similar to work well.

EDIT - Here you go, had to do it in Inkscape as I don't currently have Illustrator, but this should work fine...

Click it to download the PDF (vector) version of it.

With a little luck you should be able to resize it to fit the top label too :)

That's awesome, thanks! :D As soon as I get the printer re-installing I'll get it stuck on there... I've got some satin photo paper that should do nicely :)

Quick test completely stock puts it slightly faster than an overclocked Q6600 -

We'll see how far we can go with this one...

Quick before and after from Unigine, new rig's a tad faster :D

Can't wait to start on some serious overclocking, it's gone straight to 4.5ghz with quite literally no effort (ie, AMD Overdrive) so I'm hoping for 5ghz when I tweak it manually.
